Signs Of The Zodiac

The Aries Vibe

The Aries Vibe

The Aries Vibe

Today we are going to talk about Aries Vibe.  It is important to grasp this (and the “vibe” of all the signs, obviously) as they transmit in multiple channels, more or less all the time.

But first, above and below are two stunning examples of Aries Vibe. Both are multiple conjunct Aries – Marlon Brando was Sun, Moon and Mercury in Aries whilst Jane Goodall is Sun, Mars and Uranus in Aries.  Both are pioneering trail-blazers. Brando brought a whole new style of acting and presence to the screen. Goodall is arguably one of the most revolutionary scientists in existence.

So when you see Aries, think trail-blazer and pioneer with the sort of ego that it takes to go it alone (the rest of the people can catch up later) and cop the “you can’t be serious” crap from all the dis-believers.

Aries Vibe has been present in the general societal back-drop of Uranus in Aries from June 2010 until May 2018.  Think robotics, Tesla motorcars, athletic advances, pugnacious leaders, missions to Mars and the increased presence of internet/innovation driven start-ups.  “Disrupt” is a very Uranus in Aries concept.

Every time the Moon hits Aries – once a month – for two and a half days there is a palpable Aries Vibe. People drive faster, honk at pedestrians to get out of their god-damn way, sign up for something mental at the gym and decide to let nothing break their stride. It’s irritable but productive.

Mars whizzes through Aries – the sign it rules – every two years. Venus and the Sun once a year. Jupiter every 12 years.  When there is Aries Vibe, you latch onto it and work it.

More importantly, there is Aries Vibe in your chart!  Find the House with Aries on the cusp and realize that in this area of life, you’re up yourself, pioneering in that you PREFER to be first in this regard – it feels  natural – and you can tap insane reservoirs of energy there.

A reminder – the Aries glyph.

So in Jane Goodall’s chart (from Astro Databank if you are wondering why it looks a bit different in style to the usual) we can see that her Aries stuff is in the 4th house.   Aged 26, she went off to LIVE with chimpanzees in Tanzania, riffing off the then revolutionary concept that she wanted to experience primates in their natural living environment.

Even if you have no planets or anything in Aries, you still have Aries on a house cusp and you’re Aries in that area of life. Plus Uranus in Aries or anything else tracking through Aries wakes up Aries Vibe. You can use this to your advantage. If you have a confrontation or a challenge, find some good Aries Vibe and schedule it for that.

Aries Vibe is Warrior Energy.  If you have Aries in the 9th House, you can be an intrepid traveler – not mucking about, you’re gone already. Aries 3rd House is opinionated but pretty brilliant at making their living via their wits – literally.  Aries in the 6th House can be a Health pioneer – Freud was Aries/6th House and he was absolutely crazy-fresh pioneering in his day.

Aries Vibe hates to be dissed, it’s easily provoked by lack of respect (Kanye West is Aries in the 10th house aka the Public Image sector) and ego-motivated but to generate the sort of momentum Aries Vibe appreciates, you NEED a big ego.

If you try to damp down your Aries Vibe, you could find that you ceaselessly attract conflict in that area of your life – to force you to own it with that power.  Or you have Aries Vibe people in your life who send you bats.  So Aries in your chart – or anyone’s chart – is where you need to be honored, original and FIRST.  Or else.

So where is your ARIES VIBE? And do you feel it when there is Aries Vibe out there?

I’m definitely trying to grok my Aries energy better. Besides my 10H North Node at 1º at the very peak of my chart, the only planet there is Jupiter right after the 11H cusp. Jupiter is the “handle” of my bucket chart opposite my Libra Sun.

In Hack 10 I grasped that 11th House is one-to-many—a ‘distancing’ energy as Kimmy put it—which is definitely how I operate. Alone but pioneering. Uncharted territory excites me and I find I have lots of energy for it. Jupiter is also trine Saturn (utility belt?!) and Uranus (higher mind fuel and genius insights?) in Sag 6H.

Aries—and my NN exactly—is what would be the “grand cross” top point of a cardinal T Square in my chart which has been variously activated lately, so I’ve been giving it lots of thought…

Aries 1st house here. Ya. Im seriously not so much a libran unless I’m completely in love and secluded away with a lover.

  • Reply Di San October 7, 2015 at 6:05 pm

Definitely! I feel it. The day there is a Moon in Aries a do a lot of things around the house… I even exercise while cleaning Lol!

I have Aries in most part of my 7th house, and the Cusp of the 8th house at 25″ of Aries. Plus my Sun is at 17″ Aries.

It is true I am most happy when in a relationship. With a serious boyfriend.
I have a Fire Grand Trine = Mars conj NN in Leo trine Sun Aries trine Neptune and Moon in Sagg… still trying to identify this energy in my life. I have heard, intuition, creativity, etc… yes! But is hard to apply it! Argg!

My Mercury is in Piscis 6th house… So now I know why is so difficult to connect with reality and actually put into words my thoughts into something physical and not just in my head.

With my Asc 25″ in Virgo and Gemini in my MC I know I should be writing. I am trying.

Thanks for this hacks MM! Much needed and appreciated.

This is very closely to my scope. I have Aries at 27 degrees on the cusp of the 8th house.

29 degrees Virgo ASC, and Gem MC too.

My planets are placed differently than yours, with the Sun in a fire sign as well (but 8 degrees Sagi).

Your comment of being most happy when in a relationship and a serious boyfriend resonate deeply with me.

I’m seeing quite a bit of fellow hackers with 7th/8th H Aries.

I’m so glad to see this too. It’s a hard chart to figure out as its like it’s upside down

7th house aries, relating to self and self.
Am I looking to date someone exactly like me? Probably. I wouldn’t live with them though

ackkkk I find Aries the hardest vibe in the Zodiac to grasp, although there are many great Aries people in my life. But one of my dear friends – well, I love her Scorpio rising and Cappy sun. I even can understand her many Aqua planets. But when her pushy Aries moon acts up? I can’t stand it. I don’t get it. It vibes incredibly rude and selfish to me. On the other hand — she gets stuff done and has a black belt in martial arts. Help, Aries-understanders!

My own Aries has no planets; I’ve got half of Aries in the 11th and half in the 12th. My Mars, ruling that Aries, is in Libra.

    • Reply Karen October 7, 2015 at 8:13 pm

I’m with you VR, and we have similarities in our charts including 11 H Aries. Scorp Sun/Taurus Moon rising. Mars in 8th house Cap – maybe that’s stealth/reserved Aries vibe, so the brash version gets up my Libran stellium (opposing) nose!

      • Reply Karen October 9, 2015 at 7:47 pm

I love my Aries Ramzillita very much though 🙂

      • Reply [email protected] October 17, 2015 at 10:00 am

Similarities indeed! I have Scorpio Sun/Taurus ascendant/Cappy moon. Aries is hardest for me to parse and relate to, then Aquarius. I love the other fire signs, though – possibly because I have Uranus in Leo, Venus + Saturn in Sag. Leo men are catnip for me. But definitely I am most comfortable with earth/water.

    • Reply anpan October 7, 2015 at 9:17 pm

I also have Aries on 12th house cusp and Mars in Libra. But, my Mars is also conjunct Saturn, so… yeah, Mars and Aries feel foreign to me, too.
With these hacks, I actually realized I never thought about Mars properly, prob because it’s not very strong in my chart and an empty Aries is obscured by 12th house fog and opposing my Libra stellium.
My brother is Aries Moon. He seems more emotionally robust than I am (I’m Scorp moon). Like, he reacts with strong emotions to things but doesn’t seem to be adversely affected long-term. He doesn’t wallow in self-pity and isn’t melodramatic about his problems, even though he’s Canc Sun, Scorp rising. Maybe that’s a benefit of Aries Moon?

    • Reply scorpio_rising October 8, 2015 at 6:16 am

I feel similar I am put off my pushy people or pushy vibes…I have Aries in 5th & 6th Houses.

      • Reply Sagitta October 9, 2015 at 11:04 am

I have Aries in 5th– like you, Scorp Rising. It’s empty, and that could be one reason why I don’t feel the Aries vibe either. (I can’t say the 5th house is dysfunctional in my life, though– I do have two lovely, loving, and lovable children.)

Maybe I get the creative, childlike part of the Aries vibe but not the Warrior thing. It could be because my chart is very strong in terms of at least two powerful cooperative, sociable Libra-style influences: (1) I have Venus in Libra in the 11th house of “community” (2) I have my NN in the 7th house of “relationships.”

Also, I married an Aries. He does the Aries vibe for me, I guess, and I do the Libra vibe for him.

        He: Gladiator; Me: Mediator.

I just suddenly had an insight– it just popped into my head: the two of us are like Bogart and Hepburn in The African Queen.

I need to watch that movie again.

  • Reply JodiCleghorn October 7, 2015 at 6:10 pm

Aries ascendant, with Chiron and Mars also in Aries 1st house.

I am intense. I do things in short, energetic bursts and I’ve come to appreciate that this is my vibe and I work with it, rather than beat myself up and call myself a binger.

I long for the Aries moon, with the extra burst of energy it brings. I always try and schedule it for some gung-ho in whatever needs some extra help to get moving.

I think Uranus has been radically tranforming me, slowly so that I haven’t quite noticed it. Or perhaps in the same intense bursts with lots of fallow time between so it seems like it’s slow? I am certainly not the person I was back in 2008!!

    • Reply Kellie October 8, 2015 at 1:28 am

Me too! Same as you Chiron in Aries first house, and things have changed radically since 2008. I’d like to say for the better but I’m reserving judgement until this transition is more complete. But there is not enough physical activity by far. Instead everything has become mental.

      • Reply JodiCleghorn October 8, 2015 at 9:29 pm

I agree – it’s all been mental or shifts in identity.I still have my natal Chiron and Mars to have their Uranus transits.

Figuring out that short burst thing should be in a parenting book for astro parents.

          It took me forever.

          • JodiCleghorn October 8, 2015 at 10:10 pm

I wonder what my parents did with me? I have only been aware of it since I’ve been writing – but it’s obviously been there my entire life.

My son is also Aries ascendant and he does have elements of that short burst but I think they are more tempered than mine.

    Aries in 9th, sans planets.

Personally I love Aries energy but yes, the arrogance is undeniable. Still it’s one of my favourite energies in the zodiac: there is a sort of nobility/purity to it, and I especially adore my female Aries friends.

9th house Aries …. in younger years I was indeed SUPER competitive re academics, travel, philosophy. Having now conquered those domains sufficiently – having climbed my Everests – I no longer care at all and never feel slightly threatened/jealous of anyone else’s intellectual or travel pursuits. I’m like all those retired athletes who emphatically states they NEVER want to swin/play cricket ever again, happy to rest on their laurels.

But the energy remains: the moment I DO want to travel somewhere, I travel immediately. Same with reading books or tackling any new area of study/philosophy: I dive in.

Any other Aries in 9th House peeps?

    • Reply Angelina October 8, 2015 at 12:39 am

      Aries 9th house represent!!!
      Mine is also empty.

I completely relate to the competitiveness with academics. Travel, not so much. I love travelling and I seem to take off a lot at the drop of a hat, but there’s never competition though.

Academics though?! Haaah…lets just say I was probably “that girl” in quite a few of my classes that the others wanted to knock down a few pegs. I HAD to get straight A’s. A B was a failure in my (personal, totally self written) books. Ironically, I’m a teacher now and I’m always changing at my kids that “trying your best is the same as winning”. Child me would not have had a bar of that!

I find though that the competition is rarely with others. It’s always against myself. Maybe that’s the Aries self centred ego side talking?

I don’t have many Aries friends but I have dated a lot of men with Aries planets. I seem to draw them in and initially, I love them! The heavily influenced ones though, by date three, the arrogance is all over the table and I abhor arrogance. It’s probably my biggest turn off. They also love the heavy chase and bore of you very quickly.

Same ..9th house Aries, no planets. I have been traveling a lot during Uranus transit here. Vacations yes, but also lots of family obligations…Fathers death, then his memorial, son’s move, son’ move home, sick mother in Fla, to daughters in NC many many times…I’m tired. Most of these trips were last minute and unexpected (big vacations were planned etc)… I also love investigating new astro ideas/books/sites,.i dive in for hours

I’ve had a lot of family related travel too, unexpected and last minute. I thought it might be my 4th house Saturn return going cuckoo.

I’m Venus/Mars conjunct in the 7th house of Aries. I need to be adored, worshipped and treated like a queen or it’s not pretty.

  • Reply Devi October 7, 2015 at 6:32 pm

I have Aries cusping my 7th house. Empty of planets, but with the Vertex and Eris. So if the 7th is the house of relationships and marriage/business partnerships, does this mean that I vibe always wanting to be first in relationships, with some sort of competitive edge? This has been an issue in the past (sometimes consciously, but more often with partners saying that they feel emasculated with me, when that’s totally not my perception of them), and I’d really like to end this.

    • Reply astraeagold October 7, 2015 at 11:50 pm

Same here Aquaplume – Aries on the cusp of an empty 7th house.

Yes, lack of respect in a relationship is a no-no: and it goes both ways. If I lose respect the relationship is over. Can’t hide those feelings, tho I do try (Libra rising) and am not the most gracious about ending it.

Competitive? probably have to admit that. Sometimes I think of relationships as being like a run along a beach – I can run on my own, and that is OK, but can get boring. But if there is somebody to run with, I am pushed to go faster, run further, find reserves I didn’t know I had – and that is exhilarating.

My Moon is at 6 degrees Aries in the 9th, and my MC is at 13 degrees, so I have been feeling the Uranus zap, the past few years (although it’s about to trine my Leo sun). Interestingly, when Uranus went over my Moon (which is squared by Jupiter), I detatched from a whole lot of firmly held obsessive spiritual beliefs. and when it went over my MC I detatched a lot from the academic career path, but now I’m really not sure what I’m doing. It’s hard to be wildly ambitious and confused!

  • Reply virgo kathleen October 7, 2015 at 7:03 pm

Aries energy is really good for me because I have North Node in Aries (9th house). Thus my soul’s purpose in this life is to learn how to be independent, a leader, go after what I want, and basically be more Aries. Things do go better for me when I do just have confidence and do things.

Also in Aries is my MC and Jupiter (no conjunctions). Jupiter in 10th house Aries – that’s a pretty strong career placement, right? I want to self employed someday and am pretty ambitious. For now I’m working for a great small company – started there recently (Thanks Uranus). I get frustrated with the way things are run though and part of me feels a little…rebellious. I’m working under a creative director and we have totally different philosophies. But the reliable paycheck makes it all okay. Also there’s room to grow and assume more leadership.

Also I have Mars conjunct Sun which is a pretty Aries-like placement. I’ve been told I’m blunt, intense, impatient, etc. All true. But then these planets are in Virgo so it’s not as fiery as it could be. All that analyzing and overthinking keeps me from being too impulsive.

    • Reply Tall_Jan October 8, 2015 at 3:58 am

We have the same deal with Aries – 9th house NN, MC and 10th Jupiter. I started working for a small company when Uranus crossed my MC! I am now so fed up with the diabolical management that I’m ready to go and try self employment again. Hoping to bring some Uranian zing into things without having to worry about treading on the toes of muggles.

If you manage to be in a favourable position within the company I bet you can implement some great changes to improve the running of things 🙂

Haha.. yes that Aries moon is exactly that Mystic!

Aries 12th and I’d say I have a bit of warrior strength in the unconscious realms and a fair degree of stamina, endurance and perhaps I’d even say confidence. By that I mean I know it’s not death even when it can feel like it, I know circumstances won’t sustain even when they feel like they will never end and I know you just have to shine your light and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

No planets just Prometheus at 4deg trine Sun and my nodes are also 4deg.

Stealing fire from Zeus for mortals… perhaps that’s just pioneering? Perhaps it’s a challenge or duel with the biggest and best of ’em or maybe and when seeking an exit from Pluto’s den one uses whatever means are at their disposal.

I see it as the soul making a (re)quest to spirit to shine light within to guide the ego out of the make believe rabbit hole it’s dug for itself.

Hi Electro 🙂 Life has demanded more attention than online time so apologies for a delayed reply.

You’re saying your SN is Aries right..

Sphinx was all about solve my riddle or I’ll eat you and perhaps that’s about the lower instincts tricking the higher instincts or the apparent differences between the two but what if the riddle was that there was no riddle to solve?

Requiem is the prayer for souls crossed over or for initiating an ending to things no longer valid to growth whether perceived as useful or not or the grace in releasing things that left though you wanted them to stay.

If I were to weave those two together I’d say the true riddle resides within Requiem not Sphinx as falling into an unconscious game with her will result in being tricked by the unanswerable riddle and being swallowed up by the unconscious which is opposite but.. is also contained within the SN. And in not answering a riddle that really doesn’t exist (perhaps that IS the riddle) and gracefully letting go, marking passage by prayer, ritual or rite the path through the forest is clear and unencumbered by that from the past whether intangible or otherwise (this life or another) and particularly those before because they rarely offer us such clear insight, just snippets and we can be can be enticed by a riddle we may not really solve this life nor is it always the truth of our path to always be investing in what is behind and done.

Ok.. I might have let my imagination run off with me then.. I got in my auto-groove and just looked at these in isolation but.. 🙂 x

6H Aries with SN. I try to do a lot on a day to day basis – in work and home. I wonder if this fiery energy makes it hard to wind down. I’m also very healthy – local, organic, in season always. I ferment and buy foods from local farms.

My favorite brother in law has an Aries stellium right on my SN. He’s uber smart and knows a lot about food, plants, foraging, natural medicines, etc. Don’t know his birth time. We talk incessantly at family functions, like the Aries is being drawn out into the ether. His sister dubbed him the Sith Lord of the family. In a loving way.

Hello, thank you Mystic for this concept. I have a very pragmatic question when you say Aries is on the cusp of a house and it rules that house, does it also have sway over the house next to it especially if it falls to cover a large part of the next house?

    • Reply Honey Dove October 8, 2015 at 5:56 am

Or the preceding house? Great question. Very late Pisces on my 5th- so my kids get hippie mom or ninja/drill sargeant mom. With Uranus opp my sun it’s been foot-up-their- butts’ mom. LOL!

Also hugely rebellious of pointless tedium/admin chez work.

      • Reply ICPluto October 9, 2015 at 4:55 am

Kimmy once commented on one of the hacks that the sign on the cusp is like how one “enters the house (the stage or area of life) in a certain way only to discover there is a whole other experience there.” So, the preceding house with Pisces on the cusp, but with most of it being Aries, says you enter this house with a Pisces approach and find out Aries traits along the way. Same thing for the Aries ruled house, you enter it as an Aries and discover another experience with the flavor of the other sign present in that house.

Aries starts at 3 degrees into my 9H. Since Uranus went into Aries 3 degrees and the start of my 9H in Feb 2012, I’ve had to travel to far distances to get work. I was bullied out of my job by the CapSuperBitch (Sorry to Haute Caps; I don’t mean you); all thanx to Pluto in Capricorn. At first it was 240kms round trip to get work on a daily basis in 2012. Then major (return trip kms) distances, in 2013- 3,200kms, 2014- 1,200kms and this year, 2,300kms. In 2013 and 2014 I did about 8 of those trips on a motor cycle (with my gear; I am a Crab).

I feel that is quite an expression of the vibe. 9H- Trips / distances. Aries- by myself, often on a motor cycle, as the moribund situ in my homelife unfolded and Uranus- to provide the upset, in employment locations, as I like the area of NSW I ‘theoretically’ (9H?) live in.

I laughed ‘up yourself’ bcos I know how to get somewhere quicker, and more efficiently, from a geographical / spatial perspective better than except for Neil Armstrong and Magellan. Downside? I’ve been picked up for speeding more than the average bear.

My Aries 6deg SN loves sport, lacks patience and CAN’T understand ppl not having an opinion. My Sun and Uranus in 1H: I’ve just gotta be crazy me and I don’t care what ppl think; which wars against my Kat Sun & Asc

    • Reply Keith October 7, 2015 at 9:46 pm

I’ve got Chiron in Aries in the 7th, and Aries is on the cusp of the 8th, so I guess that it rules there (small shudder). My 8th house is basically empty, but Uranus is just about to transit into it (after opposing my first house Uranus in Libra). Fun times.

My experience with Aries peeps is that they are lovable, but tend towards narcissism the way a falling apple tends towards the ground. They’re not actually trying to compensate for anything–they really think that they are awesome. The blank incomprehension that meets anyone who suggests that there might be an alternative way to do things other than the way they do things (which, to be fair, is usually pretty effective) is sometimes amusing and sometimes bloody frustrating depending on how much I’ve got invested in said thing. When it’s my Aries mother and the question of how I live my life I’ve learnt that being patient and reasonable never works–I either have to adroitly change the subject/not visit for a while (aka the Sag judo ‘run away’ move) or do my best and feistiest impersonation of an Aries to convince her that I am actually one of her tribe and thus entitled to my own trailblazing moments (sometimes challenging energy for my Mars in Pisces to muster up, but the monk-warrior-poet pulls it off pretty well…)

Re the Aries vibe for me, I reckon that the Chiron/Aries/7th house combo makes me a damn good therapist. I’ve got lots of energy for the work, I love working with individuals one-on-one, and I’m confident in my capacity to sit with people in emotional pain without being overwhelmed by it.

    • Reply zoeshu October 8, 2015 at 5:34 pm

I’d never thought of this. I also have Chiron in my Aries ruled seventh house (though my Chiron is in Taurus). I am good at companioning others through pain and grief and hard times. I must admit though that I am somewhat of a warrior in my one on one relationships and when I allow it to vibe poorly I present as defensive and combative. Thank god for my amazing Aries Moon life mate. He has been strong enough to weather (what I hope has been) the worst of it for fifteen years. Now, with awareness, I am getting much better at channelling my high energy side for the better of all concerned. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, theyve given me a thread to follow x

No planets in Aries but it’s on the cusp on my 8th house…

It’s weird cuz most of Aries is in my 7th house even though it officially have Pisces on the cusp. Every transit brings out a weird competitive, arrogant, loner quality to my otherwise deep craving for emotionally fulfilling and soulful relationships.

Same with my 8th house. All my planets there are in Taurus even though the house itself is ruled by Aries. My Venus just wants luxury and good sex and some decent earthly magic to make my life comfortable but Aries keeps mucking it up.

    My Aries is confused!

  • Reply tanya October 8, 2015 at 12:16 am

What if Aries is in the middle of a house rather than on the cusp (or is this for another hack altogether?). For example, Pisces on 10th cusp and Taurus on 11th so Aries is somewhere in the middle of the 10th house…

    • Reply astraeagold October 8, 2015 at 1:07 am

That means in your chart Aries is intercepted in the 10 th. also that Libra will be intercepted in the 4th as that is the opposite sign and house. I think Kimmy said there will be a hack on this specifically. Am looking forward to it.

    • Reply Karen October 8, 2015 at 1:08 am

it’s intercepted – something about it being harder to access and you have to get to it through Pisces, I think! there’ll probs be a hack on interceptions sometime?

I have three planets in my 12th house in aries:

    moon 4 degree
    Jupiter 15
    chiron 24

funny, coz my stepmother is aries, I went to live with her and my dad when I was 11….loving the fact I have some aries coz don’t feel warrior like sometimes, but maybe coz its all in the 12th…
sometimes identify more with the qualities of a pisces moon….I am proud of my aries-ness….def have strong emotions….hmmm rambling, comments welcome!

Chiron on my AC in Aries. Until I realised what a big deal the AC was I didn’t really get why my Aqua reserve would frequently take a back seat to my loud-mouthed just-do-it party-fiend alter ego. But now I know!

As for Chiron I’m going more for the ‘trainer of warriors’ interpretation, which in a sense is what I did for many years (physical trainer with a taste for the absurd). Now I’m thinking of channelling it through writing, but the form it will take, I’m not so sure yet.

I have my moon and Jupiter and North Node in Aries. Moon and and Jupiter conjunct in the 6th house and NN by itself in the 5th house.
Oh the temper… I am however very active and productive in day to day life, very health conscious, working is vital for me (need to release all that fiery energy). I think my little Ramzilla moon also gives quite a warrior spirit, I do have ups and downs but mostly feel fiesty and ready for action rawrr!

I meant working out is vital. But work too. I can’t keep calm I need to be busy at all times. Lounging in bed all weekend kills me, my bff has her moon in cancer and we can never agree on activities for the weekend, she wants to take a 3 hour bath, I want to walk 20 km.

Late Aries cusp on 6th, so most of it falls into 5th- where Uranus trsnsits ATM. My Mars is retro in Gem-7th square Pluto in 10th. SN in Aries. Love samurai tales. Super savvy on health, conventional vs alternative medicine, protocols etc. all my kids and I do MMA. It is our church/temple/home away from home.

My cousin is über Aries, Sun, Asc, Mercury. Virgo Moon. Prolific writer of historic mysteries- under male pseudonym which outsell her works written under real name.

At age 24 she flew to Hong Kong with one job lead on one way ticket. (Worked three jobs in grad school.) Nailed the job- covered Far East, clawed up to bureau chief – when women barely covered biz-and married dashing older guy. Her lunch crowd was who’s who of NYC, London.

Promptly bore three brilliant, multi lingual kids: an actress/ballerina/pianist, conductor/ violinist and financial guru. Years later- All lovely, diligent, super accomplished-modest.

Did I mention the gourmet cooking, couture level sewing and needle work? Thriftiness? Advocacy for imprisoned Chinese writers? Perfect, cosy home and garden? Home made croissants? Bust it out work ethic?

Gorgeous, ever blond with merry blue eyes. Looks decades younger than 60. Hates mediocre, faux wannabes.

Your cousin sounds amazing. I am in awe of some of the stories I read here. From the jaw-dropping to the heart wrenching. My life is not boring but also not full of such stories.

I also have lots of Aries in my in-laws. Suns and other aspects. Total independent thinkers, artists, into physical activities. Lots of head injuries too – Nono brought that one up a while ago. My Aries sun mother in law was hit riding her bicycle as a child by a drunk judge. The family proceeded to get death threats so she never saw a doctor. Those are the kinds of stories I have to share.

Aries is half and half in my chart…it is half in my 4th and have in my 5th. I have a lot of Emperor energy in those houses for sure. Even though I am the wife and mother, I am the one who is in charge and calls the shots. I have always been the more dominant one in relationships and definitely have a take charge attitude when in comes to making sure things are running smoothly at home and in my romantic partnership.

  • Reply ICPluto October 8, 2015 at 7:01 am

Most of my 10th house is Aries, although the cusp is in the 11th. Like many, I have Chiron in Aries, which I tend to analyze more regarding the house than sign (since the sign in this case is generational). But I also have my Sun in the 10th house at 22º Aries. My Sun is unaspected, so I tend to think that it is raw Aries energy.

I don´t think I fit the selfish [email protected] Ramzilla stereotype. I am pretty good with groups and sharing (11th house), but confess I have a hard time following other people´s pace. I have no trouble doing things all by myself. At work I wouldn´t call myself competitive, but I ended up achieving some recognition. because I didn´t shy away from challenging situations. That´s one of the good things about Aries: courage. We can be like the Fool card in the Tarot, there is this naïveté that may be interpreted as dumb arrogance by folks out there. But every hero starts as a fool.

Uranus has been a supersonic rollercoaster and it hasn´t touched my Sun yet! On the day Uranus entered Aries I was relocating to Hong Kong to supervise my own team- thousands of miles away from family, friends. It was liberating. But when it retrograded to the exact same point in 2012 I had to come back to the US. My 1st house Kataka Moon square natal 4th house Libra Uranus- three important women in my life were diagnosed with cancer, and, when my Uranus/Uranus opposition was exact some months later, two of them were dead (Pluto was in the 7th house opposite my Moon at the same time). From that moment on I knew I could not go on living the same life I had been living for the past 20 years. I just didn´t feel like myself anymore. But then I found out I had to pay for that rollercoaster ride. Friends, family, career, all gone. But I´m still standing, yeah, yeah , yeah (Elton John, another Aries Sun)!

Wow, great life stories you have. I’m taking your lead and going to look at the point in time when Pluto crossed my moon. I’m not going to have a Pluto opposite moon in a very long time.

      • Reply ICPluto October 8, 2015 at 8:46 am

Electro, it was zapzone personalized pour moi 🙂 Jupiter, Saturn involved and my pet T-square being activated. I was a muggle then and didn´t have any astro info. I chuckle these days when I go through the ephemeris and check the dates/transits.

Yes, check that Pluto conjunct Moon you had in Sag. Also see what Uranus was up to at that time (it was traveling through Aqua), since you are uranian and have a Leo Sun. I know we should not expect tea and sympathy when slow moving planets touch our luminaries with challenging aspects, but it is very rewarding to know we can survive and (hopefully) thrive!

        • Reply electro October 8, 2015 at 6:21 pm

I looked it up and it was a time I wanted to be all Sag and free after college and it turned out it was an emotional move halfway across the country. Met another Scorp rising with an Aqua Sun and we hit it off, she was amazing. Grandmother died, I was at other grandmother’s house (same town) for funeral and 9/11 happened. I was having an East Coast native freak out when the local channel cut in because we were near the site of the plane that went down in PA. I seriously thought there were going to be plane crashes all over the place. I have never moved that far away again. Def not as far away as Hong Kong but we each have our own versions of life, right?

      • Reply ICPluto October 8, 2015 at 8:27 am

Nia, I think there is this Piscean energy in our 10th house that softens the edges of Aries (makes us more relatable?). And I think the energetic Aries flavor suits the 11th house very well.

        • Reply Nia October 8, 2015 at 9:49 am

I definitely agree. I do feel Aries energy within me but it doesn’t come out bursting or acerbic as it might without some Piscean tempering. If something is angering/frustrating to me, especially at work, I “steam” (Fire+Water) rather than having an outburst (Fire) or getting emotional/depressed (Water). I brew on it until the mood dissipates.

Uranus is one degree away from transiting my 11H cusp, I’m looking forward to a little jolt there soon, and then on my Jupiter. 🙂

    • Reply Roberta October 10, 2015 at 9:18 pm

I also have Aries straddling my 10th and 11th houses – definitely resonate with ICP’s 2nd para re work!

My Aries cusp on the 11th houses my Venus. Interestingly, I also have various family members and close friends with Venus in Aries, different houses though, however we all relate very well. Could be due to most of us having a Pisces sun, but I’m just guessing here since we are all so fluid in our water sign.

      My Venus in Aries:
      – squares my Jupiter-Saturn conjunct in Cap in the 8th
      – trines my Uranus in Leo in the 3rd
      – sextiles my Mercury in Aqua in 9th.
(with Uranus and Mercury having their own “opposite” aspect)

My Venus-Aries is also the “outlier” planet of my otherwise splay patterned chart. It triggers every major aspect of my chart, ricocheting from one planet to another.

Consequently, all my other planets, directly or indirectly, trigger my entire chart. This makes it challenging for me to pin-point the role of each planet in my chart because they are all influenced in different (or the same!) way.

Uranus will be transiting my Venus in March 2018, during my birthday…not sure what this means however it feels like it might be BIG.

My Aries is only a sliver on the 8th house cusp, at 27 degrees. So, wide-eyed and bushy tailed she starts her journey within the 7th house of “ships” – relation/friend/partner, from 0-26 degrees, then as she matures, dips her toes into the fleshy, physical energies/vibe of the 8th house.

When it comes to relations, I have always been about quality over quantity. Maybe the people I associate myself with have always been a large part of how I define or see myself. Those people are mirrors of me – especially if I interact with them on a day to day basis.

So, any unhappiness with a business situation, friend situation, partner situation, it affects me on so many levels (mental and physical). I take my relationships seriously, so they can and do take a lot of energy from me and focus. I think that’s why I’d rather invest that energy in few that are successful/meaningful – than many that have no real direct meaning. I’d just assume be alone, than deal with lackluster ‘ships. And I do enjoy being alone, also.

In romantic relationships, I need long-term. I don’t “date”. I won’t waste my time and can spot very quickly, if something is just not right. In romance, he is my lover and my best friend, my partner. Communication and honesty are most important above all things. When those things are haute, everything else just follows in that direction. Maybe that’s just because late degree/mature Aries knows what she wants re: that 8th house cusp. Anything less (dissenting points of view) isn’t worth her time/energy?

Aries no planets there, however it is my DC placement and between 6th and 7the houses. Lots of feeling about this energy, but from the astrological pov what is the general way to view this and what the DC placement also suggests?

    • Reply ICPluto October 9, 2015 at 5:15 am

The DC for me represents what we attract or are attracted to. It can even be unconscious, like when it makes no sense when you go through a partnership (business, romantic, contracts, disputes) and are not comfortable with the traits of the other person. Even though some say the DC and 7th house represents what we lack, I am not very fond of the term “lack”. I believe what we look for is integration (shadow side or not). That is why the 7th house works as mirror of ourselves through our one-on-one (more personal) interactions.

A house is a field of experience, not the experience itself. The sign is the flavor of the experience. So, with Aries ruling your DC/7th house you may attract relationships that are fiery, belligerent, wide-eyed, assertive. These traits are present in yourself and are being showed to you in order to let you recognize that this is also a part of who you are.

      • Reply Antonia October 9, 2015 at 8:58 am

Thank you ICPluto………:) Is the 6th house were I get fire since Aries is also in that house? I often psychically show up at random to people in my orbit who are spiritually crashing a bit. Just provide some non verbal buffer board, by listening. They are almost like jobs from the universe. I can often feel like combo of Aries and Scorpio energy and wonder where that comes. Maybe transits? Appreciate your tutoring here with your comments. Slowly developing a feel for astrology but wow I’m in awe of those that have been studying and working it for a long time. And naturally Mystic’s wonderful course here.

        • Reply ICPluto October 9, 2015 at 9:20 am

Interesting about your 6th house-Pisces on the cusp? The mixed feeling of Aries and Scorpio may come from this contact of fire and water? Considering also that Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio…

I guess it is how Mystic put on her comment: it´s the VIBE and you learn to feel it.

You have an Aries MC. Quoting Mystic: “The Midheaven is the cusp of the 10th house, aka the Brilliant Career sector. You can see it at more or less the top of any chart with the words MC.This is short for “medium coeli” aka middle of the sky aka Midheaven. The sign of the Midheaven and the planets in that 10th house signify your level of fame attained – if any, your public image, professional reputation and point toward your ideal career. On a really shallow level, just consciously trying to ‘do’ your Midheaven sign when it comes to big career matters, seems to work really well.”

Well, this has come at exactly the right time in my life!
I’ve suddenly realised that, all powerful aries people that i’ve had in my life i have instantly trusted, and become close emotional friends with; only to be devastated when our friendship ends in heartbreak and betrayal.
Somehow these people are always the ones that hurt me the most; it takes me the longest to recover; once burnt i almost never forgive.
(but maybe that has something to do with my aries too?)

Aries is my Ascendent, with no planets conjunct. It covers my 12th/1st houses. I feel like i need to connect more to the aries energy in my chart. it seems to come across within myself as arrogance/ego and i need to work out how to power it into other feelings. Like, SELF CONFIDENCE! SELF FULFILMENT!

From my experiences, Aries thinks, plots, and plans. When they get a chance to let their thoughts out, it’s full steam ahead. Then they think about it later if they were shitty and do have the ability to feel bad. My BIL is totally anti-vegan and really hurt the feelings of my close emotionally sensitive Taurus vegan friend. I don’t think she’s quite gotten over it but I told him and he felt bad. Didn’t change his views but he did realize he was being a dick. I love my sis in law because she’s Aries sun too and she totally eggs him on while laughing hysterically about the things he says. And tells him he’s ridiculous. Aries are never boring.

My sun is 8th house I try to keep it hidden in loose social and let my air planets take the lead. The closer you get to my aries sun the more “warning, check weather reports before proceeding on this route” signs you see. Also “no hitch hikers”

I have Aries on the cusp of the 7th, 12*. Have Venus in Aries at 8*. Uranus going back and forth over those points have been revelatory. I always used to feel bad about getting married, or wanting to get married, like it made me weak somehow. A part of me I did not embrace. Uranus in Pisces, the end of it, was on my sun and began my relationship with my partner. But Uranus going into Aries was just… Wow. Transformative. Brought up a lot of shit and I wouldn’t even recognize the old us, back then (however I love reminiscing about the Uranus in Pisces part of our relationship ha!) I’m actually really proud of our relationship and it’s evolution.not that we’re perfect or anything now, just that I wouldnt even recognize us the way we were earlier in Uranus’ transit. We’ve both grown a lot as individuals too. I ran into an astrologer a while back and talked about Uranus transiting my 7th and he asked if I was recently divorced. With anyone besides my Scorpio partner, I don’t think it would have lasted.

    Saturn in Aries.

I am really not too sure about how I feel about the first sign, since Saturn does tend to be a downer in synastry and I’ve got a Venus/Mars conjunction as well. I get along very well with Libras.

I’ve heard Saturn in Aries is rather difficult, and I have had some trouble with grasping Saturnine principles, since it makes a harsh aspect to both my Sun and ASC.

Aries is in the 10th and 11th houses in my chart. My MH is actually Pisces, but the 10th house extends into Aries. No planets there. Right now Uranus is directly opposing my sun.

I am especially driven in my career. It’s not enough for me to achieve relative comfort in life, I do want to be very successful in my field. Being respected for my work is very important to me, and when I feel disrespected, I’m out. I found it interesting that I did my masters at a very Aries school (go Rams) with two extreme Aries men in my graduate program. I often find Aries people with me in career and job settings.

With the energy behind Pisces, though, I think sometimes my “inner Kanye West” is really hidden from other people. Aries on the 11th house cusp is harder for me to understand — I don’t exactly think I have an Aries vibe when it comes to networking or groups of friends. Maybe I’m an Aries about my goals though?

I am just looking at my partner’s chart and see he’s got moon (8)/mars (10) /saturn (11) conjunct with the IC (8) in Aries in the 4th.

I just don’t see that Aries fire in him, especially with all those planets there? We have been together 13 years – surely I’d be able to pick this?

    • Reply ellen October 8, 2015 at 10:11 pm

The ic is so private. And saturn, it makes sense I think. Moon mars and saturn are homeschooling for warriors . No one sees the work down there

Funny you say that – as it’s me who is homeschooling the next warrior. And I’ve always thought he would be so much better at it than me. My fire needs freedom and free ranging.

If only I could make equivalent money.

        • Reply ICPluto October 9, 2015 at 5:46 am

Moon on the IC wants a sheltered life! You certainly represent the fire in his life- your Aries AC. I see his aspects as controlled/angsty (Saturn) emotional (Moon) explosions (Mars) at home (4th house). Mind you, the explosions can be happening very much internally.

  • Reply Oneirix October 8, 2015 at 11:09 pm

My Sun is in Aries in the 2nd House, but it’s actually sublimated in my chart! My 2nd House ruler is Pisces. So, when it comes to money, materiality, self-worth, and ego, my first thought it to vibe pretty Piscean (easy come easy go, wallow in feeling/hedonism, etc.), but I think maybe it’d be more auspicious for me to up the Aries—hustle, fight, and win! When I emphasize Aries everything feels more authentic, but I find myself constantly trying to keep my competitiveness in check. Like it’s gauche or something. Is that a function of a sublimated sign?

    • Reply ICPluto October 9, 2015 at 5:51 am

I don´t think it is sublimated, your Sun is ruled by Mars/Aries. In the 2nd house, I´d say you´d never go hungry 🙂 But look at your 3rd house, that is ruled by Aries, and perhaps you can find some information there to inform how you can actualize the purpose of your Aries Sun.

      • Reply Oneirix October 9, 2015 at 8:30 am

That’s the thing—Taurus actually rules my 3rd House. Aries takes up almost all of the 2nd House, but isn’t on the cusp of any houses at all. Maybe sublimated is the wrong word, I’m not sure what the proper term for this is here.

Never go hungry is certainly true!! 🙂

  • Reply Mystic Medusa October 9, 2015 at 5:52 am

And remember people – you don’t just think ARIES people or even – say – “Saturn in Aries” – you think ARIES VIBE. It is what it is. In some cases it’s easy to access, in other cases a person or an era may find it difficult to channel, sometimes it’s like a rad miracle. Other times brash and unwelcome. You learn to get a feel for it.

It’s like with Saturn in Aries – whether you’ve got it natally or it’s just out there – Saturn likes structure and strategy, Aries needs to be bold & actually Aries Vibe likes a FIGHT. Not necessarily a pub brawl sort of a deal but definitely that sense of TA DAH – it’s Operation Whatever, initiate Mission Control and let’s do this.

So rather than getting annoyed when Aries Vibe talks over you at dinners or wrecks your peaceful zoning out at yoga or even seems to inappropriately assert itself in your own psyche, think how can i utilize and go with this energy…If you’ve got planets in it or you know where it is in your chart, you think that is where/how it wants to function.

eg; mine is in the 3rd house and Mercury – i need to write. I need to take in and process a vast amount of information from multiple channels on a daily basis. Daily Mail AND Stratfor usually at the same time sort of thing. I get off on fresh info. It’s just where and how my Aries Vibe is.

And it’s important to know your Aries Vibe now – because URANUS is all over it…And everything you’ve been doing around Aries since 2010 gets maxed out in the 2nd half of 2016 because…JUPITER IN LIBRA opposes Uranus in Aries…

So Aries Vibe is where you are just fresh, young, up yourself and easily bored. And when the Moon is in Aries, you’re often not in the mood to play docile to other people or even do systems type work but difficult confrontations followed by some Cross Fit – done.

Or just ramp the obligatory work up into a major MISSION. Like, it’s not just “making dinner” – it’s a refuel and it will be part of Operation Combat Inertia. Sometimes with Aries Vibe, you can almost hear the sound-track and the helicopters

Mystic, Uranus in Aries is total liberation of the sheep!

“JUPITER IN LIBRA opposes Uranus in Aries…” This is not countdown to Operation Awesome, WE ARE Operation Awesome!

      Thank you! xx

My Aries in mostly in the 7th house empty except bolstered by a fortunate POF conjunct transiting Uranus. My Mars is is a fiery stellium in the 3rd house w /Venus and My Saggo Sun and Merc in Cap. Yes I feel the Aries energy – And I need to harness it now considering my moon is in Gem in the 9th opposite that Jupiter ruled stellium with SATURN just starting a lengthy FIRE inspection in Saggo…yikes! Uranus has been good for my relationship of 11 years- of late we seem to be in balance with each other’s needs and Uranus has sparked passion and purpose in mutual goals.
My partner and I have same angles w a few twists and turns . AC/DC Libra Aries. His DC is 15* Aries empty of planets. His moon is Pisces in the 5th conj. Chiron and Jupes, and his Mars is Leo in the 11th , His Sun is also Saggo ,but in the 2nd house $. He is my heart throb & my head throb LOL ! Wow! different Aries moon cycles makes sense to me bcos we will be going along just fine with me happily running the show without any obstacles and then out of the blue (moonlight) we tiff about money or me being overzealous w house projects or activities or bossing around Mr Daydreamer or me being frustrated or “misunderstood”. Now, I understand Thanks for the HEADS up MM!

Aries in my natal chart is on the 3rd house cusp. I get it. I want to handle my money matters and possessions by myself – I’m not great at accepting help in this area as I’ve always been very independent in regards to it. NO ONE tells me what I must do with my money!!! In saying that, I am awesome at impulse shopping! But I always bounce back with money matters no matter how crazy my spreeing gets. I have no planets in Aries though..

      Whoops, I mean 2nd house, not 3rd.

Aries in the 2nd house, no planets in there. Mars is in 7H Virgo

I do have a bit of a warrior attitude to making sure I have enough money to get by and giving things (jobs etc) my all. Also quick to anger if I feel like people don’t listen to what I say or out of line with values.

Although not sure I feel so confident and Aries like when it comes to the supposed self esteem part of 2nd. Unless I’m repressing out of guilt or does the Virgo color of my Mars play in there…

I do need a lot of exercise to stay sane I’ve realized too. Good reminder for me to get back on the wagon and run it out!

Aries,,3rd house and it’s crowded in there, with Mercury, Chiron, Vesta, and my Sun just over the border in Taurus, but still 3rd house.
I am an information sponge, taking it in and squeezing it out.
I’ve been trying to find my path in recent years. I need to examine this confluence more closely.

Thank you for the Aries trailblazing hack Mystic, I have been avoiding this, yet wanted it out of the way. Natal Aries at end of empty 2nd $$$ house & meanders into beginning of empty 3rd house of communications. No action in 8th house, but Saturn, Lilith & Eros in Scorpio and Neptune Libra oppose in 9th. I too, find Aries energy tricky, too much of a hurry, bit foot in mouth like Saggi, only opening mouths to change feet. Though back in the day, saw Easy Rider, bought my first bike and rode around in a black (not red) bikini. Transiting Uranus in Aries visiting my 3rd house at present, communications have been feistier, though eschewing leadfoot driving and always wary of red cars.
My mother, sun Leo with moon & Chiron in Aries, a “just do it” style of mothering (signs my cards with Christian name, never Mum) & as a young widow, moved countries with two young children sight unseen, professionally successful, emotions not encouraged. We were not allowed to stay home from school sick, if we were, given a list of jobs.
Perhaps with Aries transit square Leo sun, I’ll get in touch with the young chick playing Steppenwolf & fearless, have some wacky business & writing ideas and spur into action astride my steed, guns (unloaded) blazing.
