Judging Mars Mettle – How Tough Is Your Mars?

Mars Mettle – How Tough Is Your Mars?

Okay so let’s get this real clear. None of what i say here is a personal attack on YOUR Mars or that of any homie you know. This is all for research and discussion purposes.

With that in mind, sometimes it helps to glance at someone’s chart and get a quick take on their Mars Vibe. It can be a good indicator of their strength or even their tolerance for treachery.

Ignore the aspect and whether or not you think the sign is positive or not.  Just go for closeness + the planets involved. Fight Champ Amanda Nunes, above, is a Mars=Saturn-Pluto person.

Mars Saturn is like the gold standard for strategy, leadership and the ability to structure something. You see it in C.E.O.s and successful types all the damn time. It is the hot-head “Operator As Fuq” Mars vibe blended with the sagacious control and pragmatic dignity of Saturn.  Sure, Mars square Saturn may have a harder time getting it together than Mars conjunct Saturn but it is still Mars-Saturn Vibe.  Add Pluto for a Mars that won’t stop and which gets off on regenerating, every single damn day.

As for the old idea of signs being exalted or in their ‘fall’ etc? I am over it. YES it is totally useful for Horary – more on that later – and if you have a planet exalted, gloat a little bit. But an example? The other day on the blog, i did a post on a fallen American special forces solider, a Cherokee, and his Mars was zero Cancer. Technically and according to many textbooks, this should be a ‘weak’ Mars. Without going into the merits of any particular overseas mission/geopolitics, failure of courage was clearly not this persons main issue.

A brilliant example of Mars-Saturn awesome is Elizabeth Holmes, the world’s youngest female self-made billionaire & medical entrepreneur.

As a child she read Marcus Aurelius (Mars sextile Saturn). For a study on Mars-Saturn in Scorpio (Sun Sign Aquarius) you can not do better than this article. The life hacking, the super minimalist wardrobe to allow her creative energy for achievement, the clarity and drive.

When you see Mars in aspect to Saturn, all these things are an attribute of the person. The relentless drive of Mars yoked in – one way or another – with the wisdom of Saturn. They think LONG term ahead.  *UPDATE:  Elizabeth Holmes has since been drastically discredited and challenged. I am leaving this example in here as an FYI.

Another Mars-Saturn woman: Cheryl Strayed, the author of Wild.

Being Mars-Saturn does not mean you are a pod person who never fuqs up or makes a poor decision. It means that at some point, when you go into mission mode, you’re guided.

Steven Covey, author of the cult-in-its day The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People – was Mars trine Uranus. “Live out of your imagination, not your history.” he wrote.  He was born in 1932. That was revolutionary then.

Rudolf Steiner (yes, as in the schools) was Mars-Pluto as is Nunes above, Deepak Chopra. William Blake – Mars-Neptune. Mars Pluto is ruthless and driven to transform society/culture. Mars-Neptune can, okay, stop at nothing in their bid to get out of it/transcend this boring realm but tend also toward stunning art/music/cinema.

Mars is a drive that needs expression. YES, it can be negative. James Holmes, the infamous “Batman” movie killer in Colorado is Mars-Pluto conjunct…in Scorpio. But the perma-cool Bruce Lee was also Mars conjunct Pluto. We still have individual choice with how we use or express these energies.

LOOK at the whole Mars Vibe. Mars Neptune wants to be artistic, glamorous and at one with other realms. This can be William Blake or it can be something a little bit more dark.

David Harrison 3

Mars Jupiter can often be the over the top exuberant and enterprising type but who may lack that magic Saturn staying power or the super extra inventive/transformative/visionary power of a Mars with Uranus/Pluto/Neptune.  So without being bogged down in the style of aspect or the signs, just look at WHAT Mars is hooked up with – five degree MAX orb.

That is the drive. And brilliantly, sometimes you can have a little baby Mars doing nothing much in particular and then BAM – along comes – say – Pluto and it hangs out in aspect to that Mars for a long, long time. That changes the vibe big-time. So people – including you – are not just their natal.

Mars can also go direct or forward by progression and this often results in a big shift in the persons life. Mars Direct by progression can be like WOW I WOKE UP. Like in those movies where sleeper agents or aliens suddenly get pinged by central command/the mothership.

So if you really want to judge a Mars, make a list of all the connections. Notice what’s activating it. Or draining it. A strong Mrs is resilient. A weak Mars can SEEM strong but is in fact just rigid. In the same way that locked out knees don’t actually work to strengthen your stance.

Once you’ve got a grip on who/what Mars is in alliance with then and only then is it worth trying to rate the aspects or signs. So Mars in Aries, Capricorn or Scorpio is technically strong. So is Mars in the 1st, 10th or 8th house. So is Mars on an angle. Mars augmented (conjunct, trine or sextile) has an easier time accessing the energy of the other forces than when he is square or opposite them.

BUT say you’ve got Mars square Moon and you find your assertive drive does not really align with your emotional flow.  Once a month the Moon is conjunct your Mars – if you have Mars in Gemini, the Moon in Gemini is conjunct or near your Mars once a month – and you find circumstances and messages/omens conspire to illustrate how you can blend these two together more productively.

So, what do you think?

    I loved reading this hack!

This is major for me — I have Mars/Jupiter/Chiron conjunct in Aries in my 9th house. They’re opposite Uranus and square Saturn. They’re also trine to Venus and my ascendant.

Squares to Saturn usually suck but in my case, I think we can say it’s probably the reason I’m alive (healthy fear) and can finish anything at all as Mystic was alluding to above. Without that square of doubt, I’d be jumping out of planes or burning every bridge with what I say. The potential to wound is huge here, too, so I watch that.

I find that if I do not initiate things myself I do not benefit. But it can be painful as hell (Chiron). But: bravery or death. This Mars/Jupiter is so beyond restless. I used to have to travel pretty much constantly to discharge it — and I do live in a foreign country — but I’ve found that a shamanic journeying practice calms me down totally by letting me travel but allowing me to ground deeply as well.

    • Reply Mystic Medusa November 11, 2015 at 1:08 am

this is it! I feel like Mars so often gets a bad rap but it is our easy to access life force, you know. It shows all that drive – sure a Mars square could mean that you developed your resilience because you damn well HAD to as opposed to being raised in a new age unicorn farm where you learned conscious confrontation but often what you get from squares, you appreciate.

  • Reply Sarah November 10, 2015 at 3:56 am

Omg, thank you mystic for doing a piece on Mars-Saturn – I have the conjunction with 5 degree orb in 6th house. I have always hated it, sticking out, so stark and cruel. Now, I will go and build my empire lol!

    • Reply Mystic Medusa November 11, 2015 at 1:13 am

WHY!? It’s not cruel at all. I love that! I feel like people don’t get enough how Mars-Saturn Vibe (or even Venus Saturn) liberates you by being just SO clear and organized.

  • Reply npavlovskaya November 10, 2015 at 4:06 am

    I love this hack!

    9 degrees Saturn
    10 degrees ascendant
    12 degrees Mars
    all in Scorpio

I don’t despair, that’s resilience or stamina. Not because I hope everything is going to turn out just fine, the Saturn return was a disaster, I wasn’t optimistic at that time at all. But I was directed, yes, and I gave it all I could. At the very worst times I remember thinking along the lines of: if this is what my life is at the moment, then OK, I will be doing my life as it is. It may not get better, but I will still be doing it.
    (it got much, much better!)
I command and people (and animals) listen to me. In general people don’t mistreat me when they talk to my ascendant (alas, not so when they get under my skin).
Genuine emotional closeness and connection are not so easy (the asc protected by Mars and Saturn, the Sun and Venus being tucked away in the 8th house), that’s the obvious downside. But when it comes to drive, I sure have it. And I know I will have it even when I’m very old))

    • Reply Mystic Medusa November 11, 2015 at 1:15 am

That’s it! Mars is there onside – like a staunch military presence, a guard that you can have work for you or send rogue by ignoring him.

And Mars Saturn – any aspect – does get better with age.

      • Reply npavlovskaya November 14, 2015 at 12:43 pm

well, I was just talking to a friend/lover/friend/confidante about how both my and his sex life got stuck after 30 (we live in different countries, so there’s no exclusivity whatsoever, he’s a great person to discuss love and life with).
I have scorpio mars+saturn on the asc, he has libra mars+saturn in his 1st house. we seem to have this same problem i have described: very well-protected psychically, but it’s just SO DIFFICULT to get close to somebody new. both very critical of other people. competitive. snobs.
AND both of us – cancerians, so sweet and caring and sensitive people at the same time. like, to each other, to family members, to other close friends etc. but with age it’s so much more difficult to start something with somebody new. it’s like the level of self-protection is manyfold now when compared to 10 years ago.

    • Reply Mystic Medusa November 11, 2015 at 1:17 am

Mars Opp Saturn means you’re a rebel but often within a structure.

Like – to continue the military metaphor from above – the special forces soldiers who are not deemed “conventional”

Squares to Nodes from Mars mean good luck congealing. You don’t get to set but fuq you are contemporary

Hi.. I don’t know if it’s my Virgo stubbornness that prevents me from understanding more than one planet at a time.. but I just can’t mesh a Mars and Saturn, Mars and Jupiter understanding so I am going to stay with Mars.

I have Mars walking through my 11th house (Virgo):

11th house: It represents the native’s projects, his friends, and his protectors. It describes the nature of his friends, his group activities, and the place he occupies within the group, contrarily to the more individualistic 5th house. This 11th house is related to all kinds of humanitarian topics.

    I have:

Jupiter 10 degrees away from Mars
Venus 2 degrees 12 house (Libra)
    True Node at 0 degrees 11th / 12th house (Virgo / Libra)

So, Mars, is when we get agitated? If that is true then with Mars in my 11th house of friends, yes, I get easily frustrated with them. I like to be alone if anything because I can’t stand small talk.

I wish I could open up my brain waves to understand. Is there an easy way to see if my Mars is squared to another? I see symbols of squares, triangles and other symbols but not sure what they mean.

I APOLOGIZE if you spoke about this on another page.

    • Reply Tall_Jan November 10, 2015 at 10:27 am

🙂 The square symbol is a square, the triangle symbol is a trine, the handcuffs looking one is an opposition. The symbol that looks like mars without it’s arrow is a conjunction and the star/asterisk looking one is a sextile.
Those are the major aspects that we work with – others may have better resources for this and google is totally your friend but here is a small description of each

The difficult aspects can sound awful on paper but can be amazing for self growth and insight once grokked.

SO if mars shares that little square symbol with another planet, that’s your square aspect.

You will get there- one day you’ll realise you’ve clicked. It just takes a bit of reading and practice. And then you’ll find some new astroconcept and get confused all over again!

You can also upload your chart to dropbox, imgur or another image sharing site and share it here for insight!

No worries – i am soon to do an aspect heavy hack but this is just to really feel the relationships – i can’t tell from your post where this is at but just look to what Mars is in aspect to (five degrees or under) and see them as allies – in a foxhole together…whatever is in aspect to your Mars is fighting that battle, regardless of the ‘relationship.’

With Libra on the south node, do you enjoy asserting yourself or do you find it difficult at times even with your Mars/Sat?

  • Reply [email protected] November 10, 2015 at 6:23 am

I think my Mars is not well expressed (or, let’s take accountability, I don’t know how to express it well). It’s in Libra in the 6th, in a close sextile Venus in Sag in the 7th, giving me some grace. But it also squares my Cap moon in the 9th. I often feel anger but am not confident expressing it, so it sometimes gets stuck in a sort of grumpy-bitter-curmudgeon vibe, but I am working hard at undoing that.

    • Reply Mystic Medusa November 11, 2015 at 1:24 am

Has it occurred to you that Moon is how you “feel” things so you might (sq to Mars) feel things overly harshly?

  • Reply scorpiodawn November 10, 2015 at 6:38 am

ok I’m no longer gonna complain abt my mars in cancer ( thanku mystic ) at 2 degrees in the third hse.

I have Saturn at 2 degrees leo right nex door in the 4th hse ( conjunct? )

I also have mars trine Uranus—hooray! I think…gonna have to google that one…

    • Reply Tall_Jan November 10, 2015 at 1:42 pm

Not conjunct- a conjunction in this case would be if you had saturn anywhere from I think 22 deg gemini to 12 deg cancer.

mars/uranus sounds kind of exciting though!

      • Reply scorpiodawn November 11, 2015 at 1:31 am

ok…don’t get why its not a conjunction when its the same degree? and in the next hse?

        • Reply Tall_Jan November 11, 2015 at 2:15 am

A conjunction is when two planets are right next to each other- so if you have 10 degrees or less between planets. They are connected because they are next to each other rather than sharing a common degree across signs or houses.

For example I have Mars at 26 degrees Cancer and Lilith at 24 degrees Cancer- a conjunction.
I then have Venus at 25 degrees Gemini and this is 31 degrees away from that 26 degree Cancer Mars – this is a semi-sextile (half of a sextile, which is 60 degrees distance between objects), not a conjunction.

In saying this I am assuming i’ve read right and we’re talking about 2 degrees Cancer Mars and 2 degrees Leo Saturn – I read your initial post before my morning coffee.

I hope this helped a little.

          • Tall_Jan November 11, 2015 at 2:18 am

Actually I just found this as a good little visual tool for remembering the symbols, angles and degrees of each aspect 🙂

        • Reply Karen November 11, 2015 at 2:29 am

Tall Jan’s doing a great job explaining this but when we say next to each other we aren’t talking about the houses being next to each other, we mean, positions/transits within a few degrees of each other (often 10).

          Can you google this scorpiodawn?

          • scorpiodawn November 11, 2015 at 7:10 am

            google what supakali?

think where I’m getting mixed up is when I’ve compared my chart to my partners, so I then think it applies to a chart on its own.
shame there’s not a word to describe that aspect tho.
            is there?
when u have two planets at the same angle in adjacent houses???

          • ICPluto November 11, 2015 at 2:10 pm

Mars here is on a freedom mission. One way. To the depths. He wears an implanted earpiece (which he designed himself) to keep in contact with careful & creative analyst Saturn. Their banter is witty, rude, funny & endearing. Dynamic duo indeed. (I love this show!) The quest? To cure, to free, to move and shake up adventure & discovery fearlessly. For the whole world-orld-orld-orld!!

My Mars is my highest point on my chart, and definitely fuels me.
It’s in Leo in the 9th (7 degrees from MC) and makes a lot of connections to the rest of my chart

Square Venus (1 degree) — gives me charisma and chemistry
Square Uranus (1 degree) — can make me second guess myself at times
Square Asc (1 degree) — can make me second guess myself at times
Trine Neptune (exact) — gives me some fire to my watery chart, maybe also allows me to actualize my dreams
Sextile Pluto (1 degree) — depth + transformation + regeneration to the max

I feel like Mars is a big influence for me and makes me fire-y and ambitious and a force at times.

I have Mars in Libra 4H square Neptune in Cap 7H.

My Libran Mars is passive and strategic more than confrontational. I stumbled on the analogy that control (Libra) focuses the energy of Mars much like the barrel of a gun constricts the energy of the explosion into a clean trajectory. Now I often think of my Mars as a sniper rifle…I may put time into gauging the target, the environment, the (emotional) weather, the wind resistance, etc. before I take a shot (action), but it’s always a critical hit. Usually diplomacy works before action is needed.

Mars-Neptune. I’ve been groking this more and more as the hacks go on and I keep encountering it. What I generally hear is that Mars doesn’t like Libra or 4H, Neptune doesn’t like Capricorn or 7H, and Mars-Neptune don’t like each other…so I’ve been working to understand the haute form of this square and harness it in my creative life.

“get out of it/transcend this boring realm” and “at one with other realms”—yes. Blake wrote, “I must Create a System, or be enslaved by another Man’s.”

“art/music/cinema” definitely with my packed Libra/Scorpio 5H—I’ve always been a writer, I taught myself piano and software and how to compose music, went to school for sound design which I still do in the film industry. I feel like I have endless energy for creation and imagination. Sometimes it’s overwhelming how quick the ideas and visions will rush over me. Those worlds feel like home (4H?).

I found and love this characterization of the Mars-Neptune energy: “The sole act of creating rushes towards us from the imaginary and through us, like a giant wave of unstoppable strength. Having this difficult aspect in your natal chart means to be born for creativity – creation of the unseen, the writing of the unwritten, painting of the invisible, publishing secrets.”

  • Reply ICPluto November 10, 2015 at 8:41 am

I have Mars trine Pluto, IC, Hekate; sextile MC; opposite Neptune.

The trine to Pluto helps with focus, the ingrained belief that I CAN survive no matter what. I am shrewd, and I never forget an affront, even though I am not the vengeful type. I don´t do anything by half-measures. Heat, intensity, lust, yes, but never consumed by my own desires and certainly not by those of others.

The opposition to Neptune (4º applying) plays out when I fall back into familiar self-sabotaging behaviors that lead to discouragement, disillusion and frustration. In my childhood and formative years, false statements were repeated to me about the way I conducted my energy, expressed my anger. Even today I can waste time being plagued by doubt- am I being too assertive, too aggressive, too selfish? But when I bottle it all up I get sick. My Mars wants action with palpable results (Taurus) and I´m learning to source Neptune for fuel (inspiration, faith, self-love) – it´s a steam engine! Exercise, being present NOW, journaling, breathing, expressing feelings not festering emotions, turning my anger into something useful (volunteering, speaking out in my community) are some of the steps I´ve been taking to merge these two energies.

    • Reply Sue November 10, 2015 at 7:44 pm

The trine to Pluto would be very useful I daresay.. and an earlier comment bears repeating.

Mars is considered the lower octave of Pluto (soul) and aside from assertiveness etc is also desire. The dual nature of soul is the desire to separate from source and then the desire to return. I just see this as a really nice blending of the two.

I also keep a loose and fluid interp on desire eg I view it as neutral in as much as it’s not selfish or obsessive etc. It’s a natural way we connect with what appeals, inspires or fuels our mojo (that could be another word for soul too) amongst other things.

      • Reply ICPluto November 11, 2015 at 2:29 pm

Centaurus, I also relate to your words about your Mars Pluto trine. I guess the earth element of their placements says a lot about how this aspect plays out.

Your comment took me to read about Plotinus´ “embodied soul”. “Soul is the principle of desire for objects that are external to the agent of desire. Everything with a soul, from human beings to the most insignificant plant, acts to satisfy desire. This desire requires it to seek things that are external to it, such as food. Even a desire for sleep, for example, is a desire for a state other than the state which the living thing currently is in. Cognitive desires, for example, the desire to know, are desires for that which is currently not present to the agent. A desire to procreate is, as Plato pointed out, a desire for immortality. Soul explains, as unchangeable Intellect could not, the deficiency that is implicit in the fact of desiring.”

“Mars Neptune wants to be artistic, glamorous and at one with other realms.” nailed it.

Virgo Mars sextile Jupiter Scorpio 1st House

“Mars Jupiter can often be the over the top exuberant and enterprising type but who may lack that magic Saturn staying power.” nailed it again.

And living in an experimental (half awesome, half royal fuck up) earth bag house. Okay so yeah, this makes a lot of sense. How about Mars square Saturn AND Jupiter?

My 4H intercepted Capricorn Mars is square both my Saturn & Jupiter (conjunct in Libra). Saturn emphasizes my Mars in Capricorn tendencies to get very fired up by people’s lack of competency (beauty, form and balance), and Jupiter emphasizes my Saturn (making an over-the-top Saturn on steroids). In work, I take lack of competency or lack of listening as an insult to intelligence. In both others and my own mistakes/errors. While I’m not very bossy, I am very diplomatic, and in work I am very thorough in explaining what is expected of everyone in their role/skillset. People should uphold their commitments/contracts – while treating others respectfully and maintaining a positive and pleasurable work experience (We can do all this AND Have fun!! Says Saturn in Libra!!). I have high expectations for myself and of those who reflect upon me or directly impact me. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten better at curbing my expectations in personal areas and keeping them in check. I still like to have certain expectations in a professional setting though – I think it’s important.

With Mars in 4H plus intercepted (extra challenging to access) – while I can get fired up and worked up inside by incompetency and disrespect and just general counter productivity – I do internalize my feelings – which can and does have a huge impact on my health (hormones, digestion, metabolism, energy, etc). What I display on the outside is a very polite and professional [trimmed-down] version of what’s going on inside. I actually struggle with being very harsh on people, and when I have to point out problems I can tend to be soft. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by how I’m feeling (fired up and in disbelief of the incompetency) but I do want to be very clear in getting the point across to avoid any kind of future issues or repeat problems – so we can continue to be HAPPY and BALANCED productive little people :]

I’d say in all my Mars is pretty happy squaring Saturn and Jupiter. This is a very fortunate/lucky position. The pros outweigh the cons. This boosts my Mars, creating a very meticulous and expansive personal and work structure. I’m by nature very headstrong and comfortable in the decisions that I make personally. With regards to internalizing frustrations and anger: there have only been a few occasions in my life where I have “blown-up” externally in anger – but I had to be very-very angry… and usually it’s in the face of an extremely emphasized version of incompetency and disrespect. Life is a steady learning process for me in how to properly communicate my feelings in the most effective and healthy manner for everyone involved.

Run the world already. Just the way in which you are aware of this is so cool

You can tell an un-owned Mars from those people who are always all about the “they” – they did this and they did that, therefore…

There is a beautiful old chinese proverb that i have shared before but here it is again: “do not set your army to work guarding a graveyard.”

      Or – defending a graveyard.

Armies- Mars Vibe – need to be building bridges and maintaining appropriate defences against actual threats to peace, ideally.

      • Reply Sagitta November 11, 2015 at 4:54 pm

I love your comment about how to tell an un-owned Mars. Gave me insight but also raised questions for reflection.

My Mars is in the 10H Virgo square my Mercury and AC at 5 degrees, and opposing my Saturn at 5 degrees. At work, I totally own my Mars– I do things because I choose to do them and because I see the need or an upcoming threat.

In the rest of my life, it is the opposite. I am all about “She did X, so I did . . . ” or “He thinks, they want, they won’t, so I can’t . . .” Why is my life, especially all domestic issues, so different from my work-self? Is the Saturn factor? Saturn is in my 3H but very close to the IC.

Mars 26? Capricorn in Intercepted 1st house
Mars Trine Pluto (22? Virgo 9th House)
Mars Trine Uranus (28? Virgo 9th House)
Mars Sextile Neptune (24? Scorpio 11th House)

I have reinvented myself career-wise multiple times. I can’t stand to be in an office environment. The inefficiency and office politics drive me insane. I want to get real work done!

People probably see me as impulsive but I usually have been thinking things over in my head without discussing them with anyone and then I decide to act suddenly.

I’m usually chosen to manage projects and be the one to keep things moving.

heheheh i’m Mars (kataka, 2nd hs) conjunct Lilith (1st hs). Apart from a square with jupiter this is my only major aspect.

*When I’m having some emotions, nothing calms me down like financial planning and spreadsheeting. That mars loves counting beans. Totally nerdy.
    * I’m kind of…. angry. Like, a lot of the time. Anger makes me act and move. Injustice makes me…. well I also have mars square jupiter so sometimes I SAY I’M GOING TO FIGHT INJUSTICE! And then I see a pretty thing and forget what I was doing. This is something I continue to work on.
    * If you try and tell me what to do…or try to coerce me in any way I do not like… I won’t do it on principle. Asking nicely is a different story.
    * Along with some other placements this activates a mean solo streak and need to go it alone. I hate people getting their sticky fingers up in my business- don’t touch my art, don’t criticise my finances (which are better than theirs, of course), don’t put salt in my fuqing food…
    * When I had Saturn transit over this I was enjoying solo time after a major break up. But Saturn’s parting gift was me terminating a pregnancy. Very Lilith.
    * I think Lilith really takes over the mars vibe here. I see a couple where the wife is the centre of power and the man just orbits her.

Well, I didn’t know I should be a multi-billionaire at my age given my Mars/Saturn in Scorpio conjunction and Aqua sun, but then again, Libra rising nixes no diversity in clothing choices, and NN in 9th house Gemini led to the intense pursuit of higher education.

I think my Mars is the story of my chart-
Mars/Saturn less than 2 degrees conjunct in Scorpio second house
One corner of fixed T-square squaring 5th house Aqua Sun and opposite 8th house Toro Moon
Sextile Venus in Cap 4th house (chart ruler as Libra rising)

Mars/Saturn is a doozy sometimes, or was especially when I was younger, with the constant “are you sure?” and “you really shouldn’t” holding me back. And in the second house, Saturn prompts some icky complications with self-worth. But I think I’ve learned this energy now– my contingency plans have contingency plans, and in Scorp, I am fuqing brilliant at long-term strategies and planning how to reach goals. I’m strong, and persistent, and stubborn as hell (yay fixed t-square?!). And I have finally developed intense confidence when it comes to my own ability to accomplish anything that is related only to me.

Some problems– still working out the Mars/Saturn and Moon opposition, since I’ve grokked the Sun square, but sometimes my emotional well-being gets left out. Been working on that with this course, and some great insight from you all on how to self-nourish.

Not sure about the sextile with Cap Venus. I don’t fully understand sextiles (and trines) yet, since my chart is mostly squares and oppositions (powerful once I can figure these out).

And a general difficulty– Mars/Saturn in Scorpio is POWERFUL. And gives persistence and strength. And I sometimes feel like I have hold back from overpowering the will of others with my own, since it seems like quite little can hold me back once I’ve decided on a course. And Mars/Saturn in Scorp can be manipulative as fuq, which I also have to mitigate against sometimes, especially combined with my Libra rising and 1st-house Pluto-in-Scorp. So keeping haute with Mars/Saturn in Scorp is crucial.

Somewhat related is my innate inability to do short-term things without knowing how they fit into long-term plans.

I sometimes joke that I was really meant to be the mistress of a wealthy and powerful man, between Libra rising, Mars in 2nd house Scorp, Venus in 4th house Cap, Moon in 8th house Taurus, and Sun in 5th house Aqua eschewing marriage.

On the Mars note, I went on a few dates recently with a Mars-in-Leo, whose seduction strategy involved opening the door shirtless, pointing out how sculpted his abs were, and asking if I liked him. And then he quite literally pounced on me. My Mars in Scorpio prefers more subtle, strategic, and innuendo-filled seduction.

Mars-in Leo dude sounds hilarious. So unsubtle – like a puppy!

  • Reply Rosa November 10, 2015 at 12:06 pm

Interesting! My Mars in Gemini H3 is opposite my Venus in Sagittarius H9 – i think this has me expressing both love and hate with the same force and passion, as well as making me a creative romantic (I write poems, songs and paint and everything is reflectant of relationships and interactions).
My Mars also squares my Pisces ascendant – i think this makes me put others on the defensive, and I come across as abrasive and argumentative.

My partner is a Mars-Uranus type, as these planets are conjunct in Scorpio, H9. I think this attributes to his love for shocking others and turning rules on their head – he pokes holes in everything! Probably further accentuated by his Aquarius rising..
Oh and like me, Mars also squares his ascendant. Guess we’re both abrasive?

  • Reply Emma November 10, 2015 at 12:54 pm

Ok, I’m still learning and this feels a bit far out, but I have a Mars/Sun square (exact) with Mars in the seventh in Pisces and the Sun in the fourth in Sag, and what I’m wondering is whether this would account for the huge amounts of (sometimes violent) internal energy that I experience when I meditate? Mars=energy right? Pisces, mystical; Sun, self; fourth, home (body as home)…

I find that I can also be incredibly critical towards myself, turning my own energy against myself. So Mars is expressing, but I’m copping it all! Maybe I need to take up kickboxing to divert some of it….?

I’ve got a reasonably strong Mars—conjunct the ASC in 1H Aquarius and sextile my 2H Aries Sun, squaring my MC and Pluto. Powerful hustle and shine—when I’m getting OUT THERE and doing MY thing, fuq the rest, Aqua Mars is like “game on.” It’s quite an amplifier—once I’ve decided what I want to manifest and I’ve got my momentum there’s no stopping me (but there’s an awful lot of ego that needs to be tended to!).

But squaring Pluto, any attempt to transform and phoenix is met with some major snags. It is downright painful and I hate doing it. Not sure what the square MC might mean…having trouble marshaling Martian energy in pursuit of career?

  • Reply FieryPhoenix November 10, 2015 at 3:01 pm

So interesting! Thank you. Through these hacks I’ve realised I am a big Mars person.. Mars is the highest point on my chart. 10th house Gemini. Am an Aries too which boosts it no doubt! :). I have achieved big in the corporate world (law) and in academia but gave it all up to study and soon work in an area I’m much more interested in (clinical psychology). Which all of a suddenly makes so much sense, as my Mars is conjunct my Moon! Aha moment. I can be very driven and successful at what I set out to do , an can push myself regardless of interest levels (possibly also influenced by Saturn also Gemini 10th house) … But can only stick it our and continue being motivated (probably also applying to relationships now I think about it!) if I love it and have an emotional connection.

Mars. Mars, Mars Mars. I’m sure I’ve told you all about it before….it’s super-aspected. Anyway, here goes, but this time ignoring aspect and house/sign.

    From closest to widest orb:

    Mars/Pluto 2º
    Mars/Asc 2º
    Mars/Mercury 3º
    Mars/Neptune 3º
    Mars/Jupiter 4º
    Mars/Moon 4º
    Mars/Nodes 4º

Ummmm, and I’m not that driven….but Pluto will cross over my Mars sometime 2019, so maybe that will pep it up?

    • Reply Sue November 10, 2015 at 5:33 pm

Yep.. that’s a bit of Mars action!

Other things that can be Mars can be assertiveness, will, courage and what battles we must face in life which may or may not have anything to do with being driven yes, but may rather be aided by how well we defend our patch or hold our ground.

I have recently had Pluto over Mars.. well he’s still conjunct actually and I’ve not had ‘drive’ in the way I think you mean it superK though I do think there have been energy shifts with respect to my assertiveness in situations I’ve felt challenged with in my fam and a different kind of courage emerging as well to really change course and to hold energy for that change.

Mars is also linked to desire. Something I recently noted on Mars being the lower octave of Pluto (soul) – the dual nature of soul is the desire to separate from the infinite and then the desire to return.

      • Reply Karen November 10, 2015 at 9:41 pm

I have courage, and the will to survive (battle-tested). Interesting what you say about the desire (it’s an 8H Mars and I’m typical Scorpio all at it or long-term abstinence) but the connection to source and it’s varying tensions resonates with me currently. I feel in a sense that my earthly (Taurean even) desires have given way to spiritual ones, although I have also felt stirrings of physical desire in the past week. Something returning. Mars/Venus or the Scorp New Moon?

        Thanks for your insights! 🙂

    Getting my Mars on looks a little like this;

Mars in Capricorn (rules my 9th)
    Mars in the 8th
    Mars conj Vertex
    Mars trine Uranus
    Mars trine Pluto
    Mars sextiles Saturn
    Mars opposite Vesta
    Mars opposite Part of Fortune
    Mars quincunx North Node

Mars/Saturn makes me reliable, responsible and tenacious. I can hold long after everyone else has folded. With the Pisces influence I can feel quite guided here.. when it’s working to my advantage that is.

Mars/Uranus is probably related to my imagination and path cutting skills and also where I’m comfortable to be outside of conventional moulds.

Mars/Pluto is where I can get to the core of any matter, the hidden essence, the unspoken thing. It speaks to me louder than whatever else is being presented and it can be relentless, fearless and fierce. I don’t make it a mission to expose people openly.. but I do see the real play beyond the smoke screen and anyone that’s sat in on a sesh with me around patterning and/or belief type stuff will attest that there is no place to hide there. Allegedly this placement also gives me my charisma and personal power.. and I’m chuckling after writing what I just wrote.

Both of those planets in Virgo would provide scope for detail, order and the notion of the ‘health’ of a dialogue. I see no point having an inauthentic connection when the intent has been to have the opposite. Fun, silly or fantastical connections are great.. but not when someone has intentionally sought out something different and then starts getting tricksy. Don’t waste my time or my offering. I won’t always bother disclosing what I’ve observed.. mostly I don’t but if the person wants to gun for it.. and some do.. well it’d be a disservice not to give it to them.. again, Virgo.

Mars/Vertex is meant to encourage the development of stability, prudence and patience from what I’ve read. Also accepting limitation and developing organisational traits. Still work in progress for the latter in some respects.

Mars/PoF means others can push my buttons easily. Yes.. irrespective of whether I react this has some truth. I’m surprised to attribute this to this placement. I’m not surprised to read that it lends energy to handling assertive and aggressive folk well and that it asks for more tact and charm to be developed there. Ok.. but really. The PoF has that vibe? I’m fascinated.

Mars/Vesta talks about vacillating between points, specifically self interest and sacrificial devotion. 8th house and 2nd house but specifically Cancer Capricorn here is what has my interest. Will need to reflect more on this.

Mars/North Node.. well I’m not sure. I know what I read and it’s one of ‘those’ placements… yes I’m grinning Mystic 🙂 So.. I know that a quincunx is considered an inconjunct and was used more by the ancients than modern astrologers. I don’t know that I understand the quincunx that well yet and I like (note satirical tone) that it’s to be ignored at one’s peril. Yes.. I’m grinning again Mystic. What can I say.. there is not a single useful bit of information I can find on this so purely making it up.. I’m going to say that .. ”just because Mars can’t actually see the future so clearly doesn’t mean he can’t be ready to roll with whatever it brings”. After all.. he does have friends in high (Saturn) places etc 🙂

    And finally…

Mars/Neptune – by transit is in trine which can lend energy to imaginative pursuits, spirituality and mystical things to name a few.

    • Reply Sian November 12, 2015 at 12:28 am

Wow that’s a lot of Mars!

Does one aspect stand out to you as stronger than the rest?

      • Reply Sue November 15, 2015 at 1:51 pm

        Yes it is!

And yes.. likely the Mars/Cap 8th flavour is where it is felt strongest.

But with Pluto transit conjunct and the aspect to Pluto I feel like that is also in play a bit of the time. Mars and Pluto are linked so life and life force and the path of the soul can feel quite ‘directed’ for me and very clear with the energy to just leap in a new direction at certain moments. This could be linked to this aspect. Still exploring 🙂

Mars trine AC – I guess I am pretty assertive. Mars trine chiron too…

So yeah, I think I’ve broken this down in an earlier post but let’s just say I get cranky if you mess with my stuff/$ and I have a lot of staying power/stubbornness/endurance. Sometimes this pays off, sometimes it doesn’t.

What I’m more interested in is my partner’s chart. He has Mars conjunct Pluto in Libra, 9th house (2 degrees) and it is also trine Neptune in Sagg (11th), and Sun in Leo (6th). From my somewhat biased position the Mars Pluto in Libra makes it difficult for him to make decisions, but when he does they are radical, final and put into action immediately with very little strategy in place. And they tend to involve cutting off contact with other people. In his favour he’s glowingly self-confident as only a Leo can be, so he bounces back fast, and driven by his ideals. Anyway I’d love some more info from other about how Mars-Pluto works so I can manipulate him to do my bidding heh heh heh… or y’know, just stay sane.

Btw I looked up Bruce Lee’s chart on Astrobank and they say he’s Mars square Pluto. Is this wrong?

Little Kataka has Mars conjunct Saturn – in the 10th – in Virgo!!

You could have knocked me over with a feather at “the gold standard for strategy, leadership and the ability to structure something”.

But then this very morning he muttered indignantly, “I just don’t understand it, I tell you every time that I want the eggs separate from the toast..”.
He’s such a little Lord Fauntleroy that by 4 I had bought him the book (it was too hard for him).

Also he’s got a solid handle on concepts like trading, ‘possession is 9/10ths of the law’, and cried when his brother ran off with some of his pocket money to play with.
I said I would replace it but he said, “It’s not the money, it’s that I have been saving that money for years now!”. #Mars/SaturninVirgoProblems.

Mars is in late Sagittarius, conjunct Venus in Capricorn by 3 degrees. It doesn’t make a sextile, trine, square, opposition, or quincunx to anything else!

I relate a lot to the unaspected Mars description. I seem to go full Mars mode or the complete opposite.

Mars trine Sun sounds cool, like it naturally drives who you are. While the Gemini/Capricorn may be trining by degree, they are inconjunct signs so I wonder if reading it like that could provide some insight? Like Mars and Saturn can’t quite get on board with one another perhaps, which could be contributing to the spinning your wheels feeling, might just need some tweaking in your approach. 🙂 Just putting it out there…

I have always been a Mars/ Saturn kind of guy. The two main vibes people get from me. Majority feel I should be military or a boss. I have that old feel, wisened feel with a deep martial edge.

The thing is, Mars is my ruling planet, so its a BIG aspect to who I am. Saturn is ON my NN, so its a BIG aspect of who I become. PLUS, I have an Aquarius Sun, which is co-ruled by Saturn.

Lots of Mars and Saturn in me.

Its not that I don’t get that vibe, its that its not well cultivated and expressed in me.

I dont have a free flowing expression of my will ( mars). I can be too disciplined or not at all, working on balance.

Overall, my Mars is supressed and just feels burnt out constantly. Granted, I spent my life up till now fighting a war and now…that war is pretty much a tiny battle…..

The war is mostly over. No more fight left….No new battle, either. Im bored.

Your idea of Inconjunct is brilliant! I had not thought of it.

I feel like the main issue is more that my Aries AC is exact 1 degree square my Moon(1 degree IC Cancer), with Mars ruling it in the 2nd house( self esteem, must cultivate, weakness to strength).

I dont feel secure in my Mars vibe, which I gotta do to be me, which makes my emotions feel unsafe and unstable. So, add to that mix the Gemini spastic energy and it makes me want to vomit.

Plus, I just dont vibe well with Gemini. Its the sign I least vibe well with, so having such a vital energy( Mars) express that energy is tough.

My hubby has Mars conjunct Moon in Leo in the 8th house – he just exudes… warmth. Also – physical resilience – he used to pour all his energy into training for IronMan’s, but he pushed too hard without recognising that a break can be just as beneficial as a 200km bike ride, and his body pushed back in the form of injuries. Nowadays, he pours all his energy into renovating our 1940’s house – he’s constantly working away at it but clearly gets a lot of satisfaction from it. (aww, just writing about his dedication is bringing a grin to my face!).

Me – I have Mars in Leo in the 4th, trine Neptune in Sag in the 8th. (Mars also trine Aries rising!). So I’m, uh – ahem – good at telling fibs. I trust my intuition and gut feeling implicitly – it never lets me down.

So many in tune people here who know/ are learning heaps .. Well done!

My Mars is in Katakana in 5th. Do you take the tightest aspect to be the main one? If so, that’s an 0 degree trine with Chiron. Or if it needs to be a planet then it would be a 1 degree trine to Jupiter – both those conjunct in Pisces in my 1st house. My Mars is also in a 2degree sextile to Pluto, and I have Mars 3 degree tribe to Neptune … so I guess I could learn to work any of those?

    Good post!
I’m Mars conj Asc – yep I can be driven & have good stamina but also a tendency to bite off more than I can chew but have to stick it out & come up trumps to the point of exhaustion.
Funny as was just researching adrenal fatigue this morn.. The symptom that really rang a bell was feeling good when having a lot of projects on.. And yes I do to a point then need collapse for a few days. This was fine & manageable when I was a child free pot-head & could rejuvenate in a cloud of ganja and HBO for a few days once a month! Now it just means exhaustion!!
Hey I’m also Mars opp Neptune.. You’ve done a series on Mars Neptune men .. You don’t think the same applies to the women? I read The Doors of Perception (Blake & Huxley) when 14 and totally got it.. Was bit of a mantra for a while actually..

    • Reply seawitchmermaid November 11, 2015 at 7:47 pm

      lol, I can relate.

Did not know that was a symptom of adrenal fatigue… I get that. :/

I have Mars conjunct Mercury in Virgo (first house) – I have an active mind and am a bit of a knowledge junkie and enjoy writing and communicating. I have lots of ideas and energy for starting new projects… and am great at planning everything out, but finishing… not so much 🙂 I can’t tolerate poor quality work and lack of drive/initiative in others… A lot of what I have read indicates this placement can be quite argumentative, aggressive, and confrontational, which doesn’t really resonate with me… although I probably internalise that more than expressing outwardly…

Mars also sextiles Venus and Jupiter. I have always been quite fortunate and am very resourceful in bringing things to fruition, and I tend to have (or at least project) a positive outlook.

  • Reply funickity November 11, 2015 at 6:38 am

Mars Jupiter here, without saturn so you say I have all the big ideas but no discipline to pull them off? I am getting MUCH better at follow through these days, but yes I see what you mean.
Also have Mars square MC not sure what this means?

  • Reply Fauness November 11, 2015 at 7:24 am

Gemini Mars in the 8th house.

Mars sextile Leo Sun (9th house) -2 deg.
Mars conjunct Gemini Lilith (8th house) 4 deg.
Mars trine Libra Pluto (11th house) 5 deg.

I’m always blazing my own trail. Sometimes the right way, sometimes the wrong. But I’m always thinking and trying to figure it all out. I’m very mental, and I feel best when in deep conversation, either with myself or someone else. My real friendships are intense and we learn from each other. Always feels fated – make me feel alive to feel that connection. I am fascinated with energy and connections between people, events, and places – I have this thing for brain dendrites (maybe its my Uranus rising though). I’m working on my second painting of them and I think I may continue as a series over the winter. I have large stores of energy and I am competitive with myself – very fair to others, not the type who wants to outdo everyone. I can get a bit scattered and it takes effort to reel myself in, but I feel like I only gain from the process.

I have a question for anyone still here! I just followed a link that aquasunrise posted on the Saturn Neptune street post. It was about Huber-style interpretation, with inconjuncts and semisextiles as “green” or “yearning” aspects. I’ve always ignored aspects that weren’t square, trine, conjunct, opposite, or sextile. But I decided to check it out and I have tight inconjuncts and semisextiles, all including Mars. All aspects suggest intense underlying energy and anger. I found this very interesting because it was something I had been thinking about with Mars – and I used to get comments in the past about anger issues. Not so much anymore though.

Does anyone else look at semi-sextiles or inconjuncts? I have: Mars inconjunct ASC (0.3 deg), Mars inconjunct Uranus (1.4 deg), and Mars semi-sextile Chiron (0.6 deg). That’s it. All with Mars. Btw, Uranus is on my ASC and Chiron on my DSC, so perhaps a bit more noticeable?

  • Reply Antonia November 11, 2015 at 8:41 am

Mars (Gemini in 9th ) semisextile Saturn (Cancer in 10)
    Mars trine Asc (Libra)
    Mars conjunct Uranus
Mars square Jupiter (Virgo in 12)

Sort of explains my rebellious, outspoken, change the culture campaign as a solo warrior in my adolescence. 🙂 Can be very upsetting for other people. Silence is sometimes golden.

There are a lot of Mars-in-Virgo people here! Add to me the list!

Mars in Virgo 10H conjunct my MC at 3 degrees, square the AC and Mercury, and opposing Saturn at 5 degrees.

When I read MM”s posts on Mars in Virgo, I often find myself nodding up and down in acknowledgment, and shaking my head in wonder at the same time! Yes, MM makes my head spin! 🙂

Mars square Mercury is one and only Precious Square, as already noted in the post on Mutant Square Powers–and I cherish its gift of resourcefulness. People often use the word “bright” to describe me– Yay! –must be Mercury Rising augmented by the square to Mars on the MC.

    Mars in 10H Virgo= Workaholism.

Mars opposing Saturn = damn. True, it’s not all bad. Concentration + Drive, and all that. But I do sometimes feel those Saturn rings pressing against my wings. I am a Mercurial butterfly and Saturn won’t let me be free.

I have Moon conjunct Saturn, so there is the Moon-Saturn Wet Blankie, and then there’s Mars-Saturn– what do you call that? The Mars-Saturn Lame Duckie? Grrrrrr.

No, no– Must. Think. Positive. I need Saturn. I need Saturn. I have Neptune conjunct my Sun in 12H –I need all the Saturn I can get.

    • Reply Fauness November 12, 2015 at 1:51 pm

Yeah, Saturn is no fun but he’s really on your side for the long haul.

my child’s father was coming to visit yesterday – a Mars in Virgo in 6th conjunct the NN. The person who was ALWAYS late to come back home from work, who very rarely takes days off and maybe takes a vacation once every 2-3 years. he’s not a workaholic, he’s just always busy working.
well it turned out that he got so tired of it he’s going to India for a whole month this december alone (hello SN in Pisces in the 12th house!!!)
i’m guessing now that about 1/3 of my ex-bfs are Mars in Virgo))

  • Reply Di San November 11, 2015 at 1:37 pm

I have always known that I am very Aries – Mars… I specially felt like that in my teen and twenties but after my Saturn return, I felt more my ascendant in Virgo… I even stop going to the gym which was a necessity for me before… Now I that I am preparing for my big backpack trip from Mexico to Argentina, I will learn to balance my fire, with the other elements.

So it turns out I have lots of close aspects with Mars 😀

Mars 25″ Leo conjunct NN 27″ Leo
Mars 25″ Leo conjunct Jupiter 0″ Virgo
Mars 25″ Leo sextile Pluto 20″ Libra
Mars 25″ Leo square Uranus 24″ Scorpio
Mars 25″ Leo trine Neptune 22″ Sagg
Mars 25″ Leo trine my IC 25″ Sagg
Mars 25″ Leo trine Moon 28″ Sagg
Mars 25″ Leo sextile MC 25″ Gemini

Wow! That is a lot and not sure how everything works out, but I felt specially intense last night with lots of things in Scorpio near my Uranus 24″in Scorpio…uff!

Did someone else felt the intensity of the new moon?

    • Reply Fauness November 11, 2015 at 2:14 pm

Yes! It was very intense for me, dark moon especially. Through my 12th house and crossed my Scorpio ascendant. I lost a close family member recently to suicide and I’ve been processing. Plus Saturn headed towards my moon Neptune. It’s a lot.

  • Reply sofoc123 November 11, 2015 at 2:44 pm

Mars in 7H Virgo conj Venus (2 degree diff) conj DC

Think my Mars placement makes me pretty feisty if I feel like I’m being attacked by others or put down in close relationships, with Virgo sign this makes me pretty nitpicky and particular with relationships as well…I want perfection, things just so, high standards etc etc! Obvs that can be an issue and sthing for me to work on as not entirely fair on others…I also turn this criticism on myself and can be v hard on self too. Can be hard for me to manage my emotions at times and balance my masculine/fem energy (mars conjunct venus aspect)….Venus in mutual reception with Mercury so if mercury switches means I can have a sharp tongue sometimes.

Very protective and loyal of those I care about…nothing will get me in a rage more to see those I love or friends done over…totally fight for them on that front!!

House/sign placement & conj Venus aside, my Mars has a fair few squares/oppositions going on….

    Mars square Jupiter 10H Sag
    Mars opposite Asc
    Mars square Uranus 10H Sag
    Mars square MC
    Mars square North Node

So even though I have a Lib Sun / Pisces Rising / Aqua Moon (so no immediate fire present in the main 3), I do feel alot of fire and wondering if all these Mars squares can attest to that and it’s actually quite an important element in my chart?

    Thanks for the hack MM!

  • Reply seawitchmermaid November 11, 2015 at 6:28 pm

My Mars is in Sag, 3rd house, conjunct Uranus, square Sun/Mercury. My Mars is accessible, lol. With the square to my sun/merc though, awareness is definitely key and it’s definitely a learning curve. The Mars overtakes me without awareness. I can be prone to extreme frustration. I need to feel free. I have to do my own thing, walk my own path. I’m learning and figuring it out as I go.

Do you ever come off as authoritative in a high and mighty kind of way? Like, you see things a certain way that rings of truth and you just want to help but damnit if they dont understand?! You just gotta go over and make them get it because their life would be SO much better?

You could be better, do better, have better! If you do what I say because I see the truth.

    Mars in Saggo 27* 27′ 27″ ? Hmmm
Conjunct Sun 29* Sag/ Conjunct Merc 2* in Cappie 3rd house
    Trine Uranus in Virgo
    Sextile Chiron in Pisces
    Square AC Libra
    Opposite Gemini Moon
Most of the time I can keep my energetic big mouth Mars in check -Merc wit helps and so does Libra Rising diplomacy
My moon opp My Sun/ Mars takes some attention and does explain my sensitivity to the moon cycles- competitive, impatience
I feel my Mars is mostly helpful in my third house and happy riding a centaur

  • Reply inanna November 16, 2015 at 10:48 am

My Mars in 4th house Virgo closely aspects:

    Moon (Virgo, H4)
    Venus (Virgo, H4)
    Uranus (Sag, H6)
    Chiron (Gemini, H12)

I am very driven and intensely focused on my goals (though my goals are mutable). The intensity probably comes from having most of my chart concentrated in stelliums & a bundle pattern. Virgo in 4th for me has been very much about health and nutrition — I struggled with an eating disorder when I was younger and had to learn how to feed myself mindfully, not just impulsively. I have moved around a lot (because I feel like it — moon). But what I really act on and what drives me is writing, so that’s what my mars says to me. I’m all about words, books, learning, and writing. I’m a feminist; I love women, and I think that’s very mars-moon-venus in Virgo.

And if you were wondering — yes, my home is very clean. My BF is a triple Pisces artist who has learned that the way to my heart is basically to vacuum. I never get aggressive with anybody, but I did raise my voice with my landlord last year when he wasn’t fixing a problem in our apartment — don’t fuq with my home, lol.

Mars, with Saturn and Venus, in Gemini; 5th house. Mars trine Uranus. Being my authentic self has been so important to me, especially in the last few years, when I’ve been in management in a large corporate environment.

so i am a bit late to this party, but here i am! Mars for me seems quite, lonely and solitude.
2 degrees in Leo, in 4th house.
sextile to Uranus is the real only connection.

It does seem that i go through real POWER ON moments, and real drained moments. i feel like connecting for my mars power is a really positive thing to me, but it seems like an impossible task as a whole. i’d love to feel more connection to mars though!

    let’s see

    8th house Mars in Virgo,
conjunct Sun, square Saturn, trine Neptune and Jupiter.
I am battling procrastination for the final time this year…I will win!

Ok! So today I’ve been meditating on Mars. My natal Mars is in Cancer in the 11th house, square Venus in Aries in the 8th and square Uranus in the 2nd house in Libra.

I feel like I don’t know how to “do” Mars. I have a very difficult time doing things when I don’t feel like doing them. But if I know what I want, and I know the steps to take and they seem clear to me, it is easy for me to get active and bring it out.

Lately, though, I feel foggy about my active state. And I’m wondering if, since right now tr. Mars is actually conjunct my Venus in its home sign, is there a way to feel into that to have a better understanding of how to do Mars, or what Mars wants? Or how to work with Mars/Venus energy?

Would love any input on that! 🙂
