The Official “Soulmate” Indicators

Soulmate Indicators In Astrology

The Official “Soulmate” Indicators.

Right People!  This is NOT meant to be a dissertation on the existence or otherwise of “soulmates” and yes, i know the term has become naff. Nor do i want to trigger any Love Zombie benders out there.

But the fact remains that although we meet a mad variety of people throughout our lives and many of them are, you know, nice or interesting – the soul zing link is rare.  That connection where your soul wakes up and you’re just BAM – instantly familiar with one another and yet super yourself – relaxed and yet stimulated by the rapport is unbelievable.

So here follows a list of “soulmate indicators.” Some of them are well known, others less known. The idea is to not geek out over one or two but wait till you see a whole lot of these indicators.  Some people are just all about Mars synastry – for some reason they turn us on even when it is essentially a fairly crap relationship out of bed. Others are Jupiter bonds – really enriching and intellectually broadening but not necessarily that soul zing.

To look up some of these, you will need to be familiar with the Extended Chart Selection on Astrodienst. It is at the bottom right.

And then you click on that to see this at the bottom –  your funky little window where you can enter the numbers of the asteroids you want to fling into your chart.

Screen Shot 2015-10-10 at 10.33.57 PM

Those ones there are my faves at the moment btw: Eros, Psyche, Urania, Diana, Pandora, Hecate, Circe, Lust, Sappho, Lucretia, Bast and Pan.

ANYWAY: Soulmate Indicators. These all need to be pretty much exact or a few degrees out. Five degrees max.

(1) Their chart and yours has full-on Saturn aspects. YES Saturn. Saturn is the Time Lord. People who are bound to meet have strong Saturn aspects between them. It lends an extra gravitas to the encounter. Both people immediately get that this is or it could be a significant bond.  For instance Person A has Saturn on the Venus of Person B.

If you are not yet sure how to compare charts, look to points with the same number or near by. Conjunctions are the easiest to spot AND the most potent.  So if your Saturn is 23 Gemini and the other person has Venus at 25 Gemini, that’s easy to spot and voila, a Saturn-Venus karmic connection.

(2) Aspects to the North Node/South Node.  If the other person has Moon (in particular) Venus or Mars on your South Node, that’s meant to be the “we knew each other before” real deal. North Node? They pull you into your future, they’re like Destiny Muses.

(3) You meet during a big-time Eclipse that has relevance to both your charts.

(4) You have a Jupiter/Juno conjunction. Your Jupiter is on their Juno or vice versa. Voila the King and Queen of Heaven. Mars and Venus linkages are hot for sensual chemistry but there are others more vital and stately. You rule together.

(5) You have a Chariklo (asteroid 10199) Chiron synergy – Chiron is the magical, maverick healer and Chariklo is his Centaur wife. Again, don’t complicate this. Who cares if your Chariklo is sextile their Chiron by ten degrees. Go for conjunctions and as close as possible.

(6) You meet during a Pluto Venus transit. Pluto moves SO slowly that it’s pretty easy to work out what it is doing to your Venus via the Ephemerides.

(7) Their Eros in strong aspect to your Psyche or vice versa. BOTH for a super amazing past life flash recall. Eros is 433 and Psyche is 16.

(8) Slippery Alert: Neptune IS a soulmate indicator when it’s in aspect to Moon-Venus between charts but it is also the spell caster and sometimes a Neptune whammy can be a hell of a spell to come around from. So when you notice that you and another person have strong Neptune aspects between you, stay sober (maybe literally lol) and grounded. BUT…it’s another soul link indicator.

(9) Their inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) or Sun/Moon on your Angles. And vice versa obviously. So the Angles in a birth chart are the Ascendant, the IC (at the base), the Descendant (opposite the Ascendant) and the MC or Midheaven at the top.

Remember, anyone who you even consider RELEVANT is going to be making some traction in your chart – like you would have aspects between charts BUT when it’s a whole pile of things going OFF, you know you’re looking at a relationship or a potential relationship with deeper import.

eyah! my old pine and I have the Jupiter/Juno conjunction! King and Queen of the Heavens, I like that!

I’m not gunna love zombie, I’m just sayin’ 😉

  • Reply Sagitta October 10, 2015 at 12:32 pm

My husband and I have been together for 20+ years. (My Saturn is exactly opposite his Pluto; His Saturn is conjunct my Juno at 1 degree.)

He and I have had a tumultuous relationship. Many ups and downs in our marriage, but whenever we came close to calling it a day, stuff would happen that we’d have to work together to handle. As I said in another post, we’re like Bogie and Hepburn in The African Queen–we have to work together to keep the boat afloat. (His NN is exactly conjunct my sun and his SN is exactly conjunct my Jupiter.)

He and I cannot speak for ONE minute without the whole thing spiraling downward into a heated argument. I swear I am not exaggerating. We have arguments the way other couples have * (insert-your-own-word-here.) My Mars is conjunct his AC; his Mars is conjunct my DC. Yes, his Mars is square my Mars at 0 degrees.

What can I say? It is what it is. Feel free to add your comments– especially if you see anything good– I’ll take anything I can get!

    • Reply ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 12:56 pm

Sagitta, your synastry is like the Hebb´s axiom:”neurons that fire together, wire together”. 🙂

      • Reply Sagitta October 10, 2015 at 2:31 pm

True (and in a way, sad) –our synastry has become a habit–like a fixed mindset.

        • Reply Sagitta October 10, 2015 at 2:33 pm

I should have that saying embroidered on a sampler and hung at the front door– to reassure unwary guests who become alarmed when they hear me and my husband talking! 🙂

    • Reply PlutonicGem October 10, 2015 at 1:36 pm

But how do you make this work? Isn’t it mentally and emotionally exhausting to have every conversation end with an argument? Do you guys apologize or give in to one another. My arguments with my ex ended with me always feeling crushed and resentful and incredibly stressed. Perhaps my Libra rising demands a peaceful partnership?

      • Reply Sagitta October 10, 2015 at 2:55 pm

        1. Well, here’s the thing–they are ARGUMENTS, not fights; there is no name-calling, no swearing, and definitely no “getting physical” (God forbid! I have Venus in Libra and I won’t put up with that in my home.) Yes, he yells–but he is an Aries, and we must all be forgiving because Aries cannot help being an Aries, after all.

        2. Note that you can’t have an argument if one person does not speak. A lot of times, I will let him talk– he has his NN in the 3rd house, maybe it is his destiny to pontificate/rant/whatever. I have Saturn in my 3rd house; I am totally capable of letting someone go on and on for an hour, without saying a word.

        3. I also have Saturn-Moon conjunct; I was born with the ability to manage my moods and emotions. Linda Good man says about Scorpio Suns (like me): “Big girls don’t cry.” Well, let me tell you about Saturn-Moons in Aquarius: “Little girls don’t cry either– if they have Aqua-Saturn-Moon.” They don’t even blink an eye– NO tears!

Also, putting astro aside, my husband and I both grew up in stormy households. We are not unused to that domestic vibe so it doesn’t rattle us that much, I guess.

To tell the truth, I feel sorry for him sometimes. He is a romantic (Venus in Pisces, 7H) unlike me– I am ultimately, a rational, cool, introverted, tough-as-nails Sat-Moon, as I mentioned earlier. Poor man. He’d have been happier with a simpler, “kiss-and-make-up” kind of woman.

Oy veh. I wish I could just wave my Venus-in-Libra hand and say “Let there be PINK!” The world would be full of beauty and harmony and everyone would be besties.

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:40 am

WOW so you’re a couple of old battling warriors. Neither of you could “act” without stirring the other Mars. But is this a strain? Great Node aspects!

      • Reply Sagitta October 11, 2015 at 10:24 am

Yes, the Node aspects have been a big factor in keeping us together.

I have read that Jupiter on SN means the Jupiter person is the SN person’s “good luck charm” but I feel it can work the other way too. I definitely see my husband (the SN person) as my “good luck charm” even though I am the Jupiter person in the relationship. Many wonderful Jupiter-style gifts– travel, higher ed, etc– have come to me through my marriage.

ooh….my partners chiron is 21 aries, mine is 24 aries….

my chariklo is 11 aries, his is 7 aries…..I take it this is pretty gd synastry???

think we also have the Jupiter juno thing going on…my juno is 8 virgo, his jup is 8 pisces!!!

also geeking out at how my partner has Neptune, Jupiter and pluto all at 8 degrees, and he’s a scorpio, the 8th sign.
    please, someone comment, pleaseeeeee x

    • Reply Fauness October 10, 2015 at 7:38 am

The 8 degree conjunction is pretty rad. I think my 11 degree Pluto in the 11th house is special. 11s pop up for me all the time too. Maybe you could gift him something with an 8 or infinity sign to honor it?

      • Reply scorpiodawn October 10, 2015 at 9:47 am

ah is that what its called, a conjunction?
yeah love 11….my name and birthdate add up to 11, my mother was born on the 11th, my sister too…I seem to have a fair bit of aries…
great idea, I was thinking maybe a tattoo of the infinity sign on his inner forearm???

        • Reply Fauness October 10, 2015 at 12:20 pm

I assumed all 3 planets are in the same sign – that’s a conjunction.

            ah ok!

    • Reply Austinite October 10, 2015 at 8:41 am

Jupiter/Juno aspect looks like a square because the signs are in the same modality (i.e. mutable)

what are the neptune, jupiter, and pluto aspects to your chart?

      • Reply Austinite October 10, 2015 at 8:42 am

Sorry I mean opposition… still same modality though

          pluto 10 libra x

          • scorpiodawn October 10, 2015 at 9:54 am

            nearly a conjunction there!

          • ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 1:15 pm

            scorpiodawn, that´s not a conjunction.

            Jupiter trine Neptune (120º between Aries and Sag);
            Neptune sextile Pluto (60º between Sag and Libra);
Jupiter opposite Pluto (180º between Aries and Libra).

          • Keith October 10, 2015 at 3:24 pm

I may have confused you on an earlier topic. My bad. I shoulda said you can have conjunctions or trines or squares, for example, in orb. Usually regarded at less than 10° for a major aspect like above. Less for more minor aspects like Quincunxes or if asteroids are involved.
(Typing on a phone makes posting difficult esp as it freezes on me.)

          • Karen October 10, 2015 at 4:28 pm

scorpiodawn, planets that are within a close orb (measure of distance) to each other, are said to be conjunct. So your Chiron at 24 Aries and your partner’s Chiron at 21 Aries are indeed conjunct (next to each other) by 3 degrees. If your Sun was at 10 Libra and my Venus is at 12 Libra, then they are conjunct by 2 degrees. Once they get more than 10 degrees apart, nobody is looking at them in terms of conjunction anymore. Is that clear?

With regard to your chiron conjunction, I read it that the Chiron must be conjunct Chariklio (Chiron’s partner) to be a thing. That you have Chiron conjunct is generational (it moves very slowly at that part of the zodiac, so everyone your age or near will have Chiron conjunct yours) and therefore not a massive deal.

Let us know if this makes sense to you.

          • scorpiodawn October 12, 2015 at 4:53 am

yes suapkali, it does indeed make sense, thankyou!

  • Reply ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 6:51 am

Let me start my long tale of lovezombiness by stating that I have no LZ signature in my natal chart (I can´t keep on blaming my NN in Pisces for that, can I?).

However, I have this very intense relationship with this man, whom I met by chance, that has been very transformative in my life. As soon as I became aware of synastry, yes, I had to check it out and try to find some kind of explanation, since I I had not been able to find any rational reason for the existence of this bond. In the beginning, there was this feeling of it being a blessing, then it became more of a lesson; right now, it feels just like a burden that I am trying to (unsuccessfully) unload off my emotional back.

Some of our aspects (I´m leaving Pluto out of it):
    * His Saturn (25º26) conjunct my Sun (22º12) in Aries;
    * His Moon (23º47) conjunct my AC (23º47) in Gemini;
    * His Jupiter (11º47) and Venus (12º) conjunct my SN/POF (11º) in Virgo and trine my Venus (11.14) in Taurus;
    * His AC (2º07) conjunct my Jupiter (2º15) in Scorpio – his Juno is nearby at 5º02;
    *His Mars (8º21) in Leo square my Saturn (9º32) in Taurus;
    *His Sun (25º44) in Leo trine my Sun (22º12) in Aries;
    *His Psyche (14º15) in Scorpio trine my Eros (17º12) in Cap;
    *His NN (10º41) conjunct my Chiron (7º14) in Aries;
*His SN (10´41) conjunct my Uranus (6º05) in Libra.

When we met, Pluto was trine our Venus/Jupiter/SN mélange; Venus was trine my Sun and applying conjunction to his; and Saturn was taking a nice stroll around our AC/Jupiter/Juno.

If anyone wants to comment and tell me that I am riding a hallucinatory Neptune wave, even though our synastry doesn´t show any Neptune contact, you´re more than welcome. xx

      • Reply ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 7:26 am

scorpiodawn, it is not the degree in this case, it is the signs. Leo square Taurus because these signs make a 90º angle in the chart, and 90 degrees indicate a square aspect.

    • Reply Fauness October 10, 2015 at 7:34 am

ICP, your intense connection sounds similar to mine but with way more synastry. It can be torturous to ride those waves of intense feelings brought on by another person. It took me a while to come to terms with the energy I feel with my coworker (same guy I wrote about in the Eros post). It’s been about a year and a half since the initial omg I feel the intensity. I still slip up sometimes and feel powerfully aroused by his energy. The Love Zombies book helped, as did Venus retro because I poured all that energy into myself, my self development, and art. I almost spilled my guts to him a bunch of times but I am glad I didn’t.

Sorry if I was getting all Leo there in my response. The energy is in your life for a reason. You are Plutonic with lots of mental Gemini energy. I think intense people get intense energy experiences. I would say don’t try to box up and label the energy. Ride it out. Where can you direct it? What can you grow or change in your own life to transmute this energy? Good luck, I know it’s hard. xx

      • Reply ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 8:02 am

Thanks, electro. Yes, I guess the need to label it kept me in this mental loop of trying to understand with my mind first (Virgo 3rd house SN). Acceptance of what is without the need to scrutinize every minute detail of this experience has been a hard lesson for me to learn.

I agree with you about Mystic´s LZ book! And Venus retro started the decontamination zone for me- it hurts as fuq. But I know I have a different path to follow.

    • Reply scorpiodawn October 10, 2015 at 7:39 am

this is a Saturn conjunct sun right?

( please tell me I got this right or I will jus give up an go home!!! ) lol

          • ICPluto October 12, 2015 at 5:13 am

lol scorpiodown, don´t pack your bags yet. BUT a conjunction is an aspect in the SAME sign within 0 to 5 degrees orb.

The aspect between you and your partner is a TRINE (Scorpio is 4 houses away from Cancer forming a120º angle). It´s a strong aspect, a Saturn trine gives a natural structure to your Sun- the trine is not an aspect that makes you struggle and the energy flows easily, and even better if you are aware of it and make it work for concrete results.

          • scorpiodawn October 12, 2015 at 5:39 am

aww thank u so much icpluto, this sounds a lovely aspect, and thanku for explaining that!

          • Keith October 12, 2015 at 5:15 am

I hope l dont cause you to give up. But Cancer and Scorpio are trine. 3° difference is well within orb. If both placements were, for example, 21° that’d be an exact trine. To be conjunct both planets would have to be in the same sign.

So do you share a birthday with my crush, Olga Kurylenko?

        • Reply ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 5:40 pm

PF, another existence together, different time, space body shells, but similar energy that echoes through time (indicated by contacts with the SN). Or even (gasp!) if you entertain the idea that time is an illusion 🙂

          • Keith October 10, 2015 at 6:07 pm

Funny you say SN. I feel overwhelmingly the same this 3rd SN return as l did on the 1st return. Ive always have said l’d like never to do my late teenage years again……. l am.

            Apast life connection…with no-one.

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:28 am

That’s huge! And proof of the rule – the more “hits” you get the more intense it is. If you’re scrambling to try and find aspects, it is a bit meh.

Generally, when you encounter someone in life who WOWS you out and fires your every synapse stuff, you get to look at the chart/your synastry and it is just popping off – there is so much WOW connection, it’s hard to know what to look at first.

however, people who become enemies, rip you off, shred your psyche or who are abusive ALSO show strong contacts in your chart.

OFTEN – though this is not a rule – Mars/Saturn-South Node links can be a bit ick.

      • Reply ICPluto October 11, 2015 at 6:18 am

Yes, Mystic. The chart resembles a target with a lot of bullet holes on it. But, like you said, the ick aspects are hard to navigate, and I soon found out that “a (wo)man does not live by Jupiter/Venus aspects alone”. xx

Husband and I have Chiron and Chariklo conjunction, my Mercury is exact on his Venus ascendant, and his sun is 6 degrees off my psyche (kind of a loose one there). I just looked up conjunctions for now.

I also looked up close coworker friend that I feel a strong connection to. Total node party: his SN is conjunct my Mars and my SN is conjunct his Chiron. His NN is conjunct my Moon Neptune and my NN is conjunct his Pluto. Kind of relieved that was all I found – connection was so strong that I initially interpreted it as sexual energy but thank god he has Venus in Cap and didn’t take advantage of the situation. The energy is so much more powerful as friendship and collaborator at work than a naff affair or hookup.

    • Reply ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 7:54 am

I think your NN contacts are very inspirational and may nudge you in the direction of developing your natal Moon Neptune traits- this guy cracks this aspect open for you.

The sexual energy vibe could be the Pluto whiff. It is easy to interpret it as a sexual need with Pluto, but I always remember something I read: the sex we have in the 8th house (Pluto) is very different from the sex we have in the 5th house. It is primal, yes, but very deep, and you can choose not to consummate it, because after all Pluto is power, even power over one´s primal needs. I commented before that I feel this synastry very alchemical.

I like the Chariklo and Chiron aspect- in some interpretations of the mythology, she is a water nymph turned into a centaur by her own choice in order to stay with Chiron.

      • Reply electro October 10, 2015 at 7:59 am

Thanks, ICP. He is uber Sagg and I think we are really going to support each other through this Saturn in Sagg transit. Timing is everything. Your 8th house insights are so incredibly helpful, as I have the 8th house stellium. In Gemini!

Yes! So rather than thinking that a transit is something happening TO You, you get that it an energy in your life/energies being awoken anyway, so you may as well work out a way to go with it.

I see that Chiron & Chariklo are generational. Chiron is one degree off my descendant, so it might be a little bit more for me.

Your comments about your co-worker really resonate with me. My supervisor and I have a strong node/angle connection as well: My SN conjunct his moon/IC and my NN conjunct his Mercury/Midheaven. There are Vertex connections, as well as Mars-Venus, Moon-Mars, Sun-Saturn, Moon-Venus, Moon-Neptune contacts.

I also felt the energy as sexual at first and didn’t know what to do with it (he’s married with children). But over the years, it has allowed us to work very effectively together, especially in building new things/structures and achieving a great deal.

      • Reply electro October 10, 2015 at 6:05 pm

Glad to hear yours had s good outcome. Our society doesn’t understand or work with energies too well, it would be nice to not feel that overwhelming sexual tension as first response. And then again and again as we navigate through it.

That is so cool you’re able to work with that so maturely…NN/Mercury/MC is fab for empire building together.

Someone I walked into in Berlin is to teach me some things for sure.
I didn’t take in the Saturn right away, being blinded by his Sun, exact my Pluto. (1st H)

His Saturn conjuncts my Uranus-Jupiter and my Saturn conjunct his Pluto.
Have to wait and see what plays out. So far, self acceptance.

    • Reply Verity October 10, 2015 at 8:33 am

Saturn trine Venus & sextile AC. They’re probs more relevant. Also… Sun square Saturn. We’re both airy, Aqua flavoured, solo-path followers so maybe we’re due some sombre… Nah, sounds awful.

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:31 am

Sun Pluto synastry is rad. Some say it does not count cos Pluto moves so slowly that a whole years worth of birthdates could have their Pluto on your Sun…BUT if augmented by other factors, it’s huge, it’s real.

  • Reply crembert October 10, 2015 at 8:38 am

Hmm…my partner’s Saturn is within one degree of my sun. And his Eros is exactly on my Chiron. My healer? Interestingly, his Mars is directly on my daughter’s moon (which is just two degrees from her own moon– she is really flanked in by Mars– a bad thing?).
I did a chart for the night my partner and I met and the true node of that night is directly on my south node. Past life involvement? That was 12 years ago– it did feel like we had known each other forever. Moved into together after only 5 weeks of dating, everyone thought we were nuts but it just felt totally natural.
And then, lastly…my daughter’s Saturn is a few degrees from my North Node and a few degrees from my moon (in between the two). Meaningful?
    xx C

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:34 am

      Totally meaningful.

Mars-Moon often shows up in fighters – in arenas or for causes. So maybe he is like a coach or a muse for her fierce little fighting spirit? Only bad if he has a temper.

That Node thing at the time of your meeting is truly profound. There is ALWAYS node action at the time of intense encounters. North on South is like a karma vortex.

It seems that Chiron and Chariklo travel close, or fairly close together, so that one’s more for those close in age, yes?

    • Reply ICPluto October 10, 2015 at 12:32 pm

Pattycake, their last conjunction occurred in 1949 in Sag. However, they have fairly different orbits that allow for quite some space between them. Right now Chariklo is transiting in Sag and Chiron is in Pisces.

I’ve always had no interest or need in the dating/mating thing before. I felt that the right person would come along sometime, and in the meantime I’m allergic to drama and not going to play the game and fail a bunch (even for the experience of it—my personal growth has all been Plutonian, internal, spiritual, has never required other people).

So I’ve been with my partner for a couple years now, who I consider the person I was waiting patiently for in a definitely non-LZ way. Some interesting soul mate astro here! Thanks for the fun hack MM 🙂

    1) His Gem Saturn is trine my Libra Sun.
His Sagg Neptune is ON my Saturn. And my Cap Neptune is..I guess it would be exactly inconjunct his Saturn—way less significant but funny that there is a two-way Saturn-Neptune link there? I feel like Saturn grounds slippery Neptunian energy…so we can dream big AND make it a reality. Additonally Sagg amplifies the dream~travel~life goals and Cap wants to help build it…Gemini makes sure the conversations and research happens to get it all lined up. Yes?

I’ve also read that Saturn synastry can mean that a relationship had been a friendship or you’d known each other for a long time, and then after years some big spark goes off (transit?) and you come together as a couple. This is true of my case!

    2) His Saturn squares my SN and my Saturn trines his SN. My Venus/Merc/Pluto 5H stellium squares his SN. So, a little bit going on there. We’ve definitely been working together on developing home / base / regenerative space aspects. Renovation, good habits, diet, etc…feels a bit Saturn-SN to me.

    4) My Juno is on his Mars—chemistry for sure.

    7) My Psyche 18 Libra is conjunct his Eros at 16 Libra. 🙂

Nia, I like the structure in your synastry 🙂

      • Reply Nia October 10, 2015 at 5:48 pm

Thanks ICPluto! I think it creates a good balance…which is comforting to us both as Libra suns (conjunct).

I found it funny that I’ll be dealing with Saturn Return and Neptune on my Pisces MC at the same time in the next few years…while I’m in a relationship that has a Saturn-Neptune link? Hopefully good transit support!

Also looked up some of the other asteroids….my Lust (plus Juno) is conjunct his Mars lol 😉 lucky guy

  • Reply seawitchmermaid October 10, 2015 at 10:45 am

Awesome list! I never knew about Chariklo/Chiron, My partner’s Chariklo is conjunct my Chiron.

We have Saturn exactly conjunct, 7 months apart (I’m older), but must have RX’d soon after I was born. Our Saturns trine my Venus nearly exact, by less than one degree. His sun is conjunct my SN. My Moon is conjunct his MC. Opposes his Mercury. Neptunes are conjunct by 2*, and his Lust is conjunct both our Neptunes, although 4* off from my Neptune. His Lust trine my Hectate.

Very interesting- my Hectate is conjunct his Virgo rising, and his Psyche. I know Hectate is Queen of the Witches, but I don’t know much about Psyche, will have to research. Also HIS Hectate is conjunct my Libra ascendant. We are both witches…

I am babbling too much on this… great post Mystic!

I want you to know that these two paragraphs from the email for this hack are priceless to me:

“As you become more into astrology, you often alternate between crazy research benders or poring over charts like a nutter and being more mellow-serene about the whole deal, noting the astral flow and quietly re-setting your course as appropriate.

This is normal! Astro-Fiends get suddenly obsessed with – say – Lilith and go nuts figuring everything out through a Lilith prism. And then one day it’s clear – it was ALWAYS Saturn.”

This is how I do it. And with regards to focusing on one thing and then suddenly getting the clarity about it being something else entirely…that gels with my experience of my chart and my now ex-husband’s. I can’t even remember what aspect I was looking at for forever when one day I was like, “Holy hell! Our Mars placements are exactly square!!” His Mars conjunct his SN and ASC. It’s like I totally got why we were butting heads about certain things with never a resolution to be found.

Looking over what you’ve provided here, we definitely have “soulmate” indicators. My Jupiter conjunct his Juno; his Saturn on my NN, plus his Pluto right on my midheaven. Kind of a tough love soulmate thing I would think considering other placements in our charts. We are both amazingly better people for having known each other–with still a lot more to learn on both our sides.

My boyfriend and I have a lot of natal synastry. It’s difficult not to be fiendish, I’m on a Virgo high right now and everything is details. The day we started talking directly (in Nov 2010), transiting Venus was conj his Pluto and trine my MC (some natal synastry activated?).

His Saturn is on my Venus (Scorpio), His Mercury on my Saturn (Libra), His Jupiter & Uranus on my Sun (Sagittarius), His Sun on my Pluto (Libra), His Ascendant on my NN (Leo).

His Virgo Mars/Venus square my Sagittarius Sun. His Mars/Venus/MC trine my Mars, His Moon trine my Pluto, His Ascendant trine my Sun, and his Pluto trine my MC.

He creates a calming/structure to my uber sensitive emotional/energetic “airy” existence. He’s praised my sensitivity as a good thing and embraces it. He reminds me of my self-worth (that I tend to lose focus on); that I am deserving of great things. He is a friend and a lover, and supportive in so many ways. I don’t just feel our love and connection internally, I feel it all around me. I think he enhances my Sun qualities and brings out the best in me. He encourages me to open up and talk to him, which makes it much easier through difficult times or situations than I’ve experienced in the past. I think our relationship is all about transformation in life, and growth. We also work together professionally (both self employed) which is pretty solid. We work in different ways but we have the communication and maturity to be successful at it.

We met virtually and dated long-dist. for 2 years before moving in together in Nov 2013. During those 2 years, transiting Pluto was trine his Venus. He put so much effort into our relationship, and created an “Us Day” to spend time together gaming/on call/watching movies/shows together – distance was not even a thing. Perhaps that transit helped carry us?

To make it even cuter – my “bundle” is nestled inside his “bucket”. 🙂

While we have no Chiron/Chariklo synastry, the biggest asteroid synastry I noticed was with Lucretia/Saturn. My Lucretia on his Saturn (Scorpio), and his Lucretia on my Saturn (Libra), Jupiter (Libra) and Ascendent (Virgo). His Lucretia is also directly ON (0°) my Hekate (Libra). Not a lot out there about Lucretia synastry any insights on this stuff is welcome!

Lovely! “I think our relationship is all about transformation in life, and growth.” I believe every great relationship should be about that. Making each other better/stronger individuals…

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:42 am

Lucretia is like Lucretia Borgia, wily and mating strategically…to maintain power/autonomy. So he would ideally be augmenting your strength with his support, which sounds like it is happening…

How long do you lot usually wait before asking someone about their birth time, and how do you slip it in to conversations?

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:44 am

Weave it into an anecdote – like you heard that people born in Spring (or Pittsburgh or whatever) are more likely to be born in the taxi on the to the hospital. Once you get hints of their birth story, you can be all like oh wow, a home birth? Was it in the middle of the night? If it is a Ceasar elective, the hospital should totally have records.

My ‘reset’ femme that was the result of Pluto, opposite my Asc, in 2013 had the most ‘conjunctivitis’ synsatry to me. Her Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars & Pluto (fr memory), in Scorpio, were either trine my Kat Asc or Sun or conjunct my Scorp Nep and Jup and sextile my Virgo trio & SatCap. Every planetry aspect was in orb.
Her chart tone woulda been the same as mine; Fixed Water.
3 things against it. 1: her Pluto was two signs from mine (you work it out). 2: Resets seem to nit go anywhere. 3: I was only separated; not divorced.

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:45 am

So she was up to 28 years younger or older than you?

      • Reply Keith October 11, 2015 at 2:23 am

Her Sun Moon Saturn were trine my Sun and conjunct my Jupiter. Her Venus Pluto were trine my Asc conjunct my Neptune. Her Venus Pluto sextiled my Mars Pluto Venus and Saturn. Her Merc Uran was trine mine.
Trouble was she was 26y4m younger. She is still the most beautiful person l’ve seen IRL. I dont know her birthtime.

We were in each others pockets. Other staff were startled at her attraction; so was l.

Then Pluto crashed it when it went forward on 20th Sept ’13

I have a friend with whom I shared an instant-knowing when we met at pivotal times in our lives. We met in Costa Rica, it was both our first time there, and we happened to meet the men who became our husbands on that same trip. We now both live in Costa Rica (different areas) with our little families . . . SUCH a comfort knowing she is just a few hours away.

Anyway for fun I looked at our synastries:

    Chiro and Chari– BAM. EXACT

    Moon– conjunct 4 degrees

    True Node: conjunct 6 degrees

anyway, it was a very gratifying exercise!

    • Reply Mystic Medusa October 11, 2015 at 12:46 am

Conjunct Moons are rare, as the Moon moves so swiftly and you DO see it a lot in close women friends. You feel instantly comfortable with them and know that they would have your back in all sorts of subtle nuanced ways.

In fact, even Moons in the same sign count. Moon-Moon conjunctions are like astral “sisterhood”

Also, my daughter, who is an Aqua moon, talked about another Aqua moon guy she knows –she mentioned that they were literally bickering like siblings –and bonding like siblings as well.

  • Reply VestaEight October 11, 2015 at 5:18 am

Does it need to be degree AND sign to be relevant for this?

So my Juno is at 24 Scorpio, his Jupiter 24 Aries… does this matter?

My Saturn is at 24 degrees Leo, his Sun is 24 Leo

My Chariklo 24 Aries, his Chiron 28 Aries.

We have lots of degrees exact but different signs so is this ‘who cares’ or important? For example he has Venus and Mercury 9 Virgo, my Mars is 9 Cancer. Both moons 3 degrees. That kinda thing.

    Thanks for any help!

    • Reply ICPluto October 11, 2015 at 5:56 am

For the “soulmate” connection, conjunctions with tight orbs are the most important factor, like the one you both have with Saturn-Sun in Leo. Same degrees in different signs will count for synastry, but they will be forming different aspects. In your example, Juno inconjunct (quincunx) Jupiter; Venus/Mercury sextile Mars.

      • Reply VestaEight October 11, 2015 at 6:52 am

Uh huh, cool… Thanks ICPluto, gotcha. My Venus is also conjunct his Sun in Leo. Wooh.

  • Reply Rosa October 10, 2015 at 11:41 pm

Ok. So I’ve only focussed on conjunctions and that is maddening enough between the charts of my partner and I.

His venus in Scorpio 17deg and Uranus in Scorpio 18deg is conjunct my Pluto in Scorpio 18deg.

My eros in Virgo 21degrees in my 7th house (descendant) is conjunct is North Node in Virgo 23degrees.

His Neptune in Sagittarius 16degrees is conjunct my Mercury 20deg and my Venus 13deg. – there’s a real cluster between him and I there.

My Lust 18degrees Libra is in exactly the same degree as his Mercury. This also conjuncts his Sappho in 20degrees.

His Hekate in Gemini 13degrees is conjunct with my Psyche 15degrees and my Mars 11degrees.

His Lucretia is Capricorn 9degrees and conjuncts with my Uranus 8deg and Pandora 7deg.

And lastly I thought it was significant that my Hekate, Circe and Jupiter are all in his Leo descendant.

the only thing i could find relevance in/understand was the angles with significant planets.
my DC is bang on his sun. otherwise i can’t really make sense of any of the other bits, but it could just be that i’m a little pre-occupied with everything that is going on there..
ill return to this when i feel more settled. i just cant make any sense of the transits or aspects right now and i think its just because of the nature of this topic..

Sorry to hear about your troubles, timidgem. If you´re able to check your personal transits for the current period, perhaps you can find some clues as how to channel/work some of these energies without feeling overwhelmed. Synastry is hard to look at when one is engulfed by an emotional tsunami. xx

  • Reply Kellie October 11, 2015 at 2:45 am

My partner’s Mars is on my descendant. My saturn is 4 degrees off his Venus. My sun is on his south node – don’t know if that counts for anything.

When we met it felt set up by.. something. Some seriously ugh things kept me in the same spot for 4 hours until I met him for the first time and he literally saved the day (…he remembers that he wouldn’t have normally taken that route home but at the last minute..). Then we dated and he left ‘forever’ but stayed in touch, then a long distance letter-writing campaign ensued and finally both of us travelled to the other side of the world for each other.
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been great.

    Moon conj DC
    (7 deg out of opposition)

Looks like my Saturn is conjunct his Uranus… what on earth could that mean? Seems powerful, though for good or bad?

A lot of angle working, and lovely ones for that matter. He does seem to bring out my emotional, loving side, and we have ridiculously deep, conscious shifting conversations!

His Venus is conjunct my DC
His Moon is conjunct my AC

My Sun and Mercury are conjunct his AC!

I know it hasn’t been mentioned but perhaps it seems to be our most notable aspect. His Vertex conjunct my NN. Given that the Vertex appears to be used in this respect ‘if’ used at all I thought I’d include it.

Otherwise I’ve got a few asteroids hanging around his Saggi Ascendant which happens to be both his and mine.

    Hecate is two degrees off.
    Diana is one degree off.
    Circe is 3 degrees off.

His Chariklo is 4 degrees away from my Saturn, both Pisces. Perhaps that’s not a tight enough orb but I included it anyway.

My IC is conjunct his Uranus.

Yeah…perhaps I should have checked some squares or trines etc but it’s late.. my brain is packing up for the day. At a glance I don’t get any particular soul mate zings smacking me in the face and I know it’s not the be all and end all and there was an immediate interest that took some time to play out. Having said that the glimpses I’ve had at the composite chart are a bit more in line with where we’re at.

I usually have (or have to feel) a strong sense of that vibe before I go into a relationship and my previous last two big relationships both had a knowing vibe about them. One in particular I felt like the floor and time and space slipped away on a first meeting when he came into my sphere. Some time later he shared that he’d felt something similar. I don’t recall his birthday but I reckon this one would be interesting.

With another, and this may sound strange at best, upon introduction one sunny day I picked up the immediate vibe and found myself glance up to the heavens from behind my sunnies asking the Gods or Spirit or whomever.. please don’t tell me you’re sending me this soul.. really.. in a puzzled sort of way, not disappointed, not angry just.. well, I can’t really explain. Ok.. so we had a few years and a few challenges BUT we both gave each other some pretty great gifts so it had it’s reasons. I’ve not had the interest to go do the chart comparison for him as it’s all behind and there’s no bitterness but.. I might..

Ok.. I wandered off the path but both of those felt karmic as if even with reservations the path had to be walked. Refreshingly my current partner did not come with any of that vibe!

So much fun Mystic! I am dating an Aries(Sun)/Leo(Moon)/Gemini(Asc) and we’ve been friends for four years now, and things just turned more romantic–we’ve always been flirty but always had other people in our lives.

    Aspects!

    1. His Saturn is on my ascendant, Venus + Uranus, opposite my Chiron.

    2. His Chariklo is on my descendant. My Chiron + Chariklo are conjunct his Mercury.

    3. My Psyche + Eros + POF + Diana are conjunct his Psyche

    4. My Neptune is trine his Moon and his Sun (Grand Fire Trine), and conjunct his Uranus. His Neptune is trine my Jupiter which is trine his Mercury (Grand Earth Trine).

    5. His Moon is conjunct my MC, My Mars is conjunct his IC, My Neptune is conjunct his DC.

    6. His Mercury trines my Venus + Jupiter + NN, conjuncts my Chiron and is opposite my Sun. My Mercury conjuncts his Mars.

    7. His Pluto, POF + Urania is conjunct my Sun + my Pluto is opposite his Sun.

    8. His Mars is conjunct my Venus (in Scorpio, and yes indeed this is a bed breaking kind of thing!), and my Mars is trine his Venus.

    9. My Chiron is opposite his Vertex. His Neptune, Jupiter + Eros are opposite my Vertex.

    10. His Jupiter is conjunct my Sappho + Circe

    11. And a bonus because I was playing around with Sun/Moon Midpoints: Our Sun/Moon midpoints are opposite each other (Sag/Gem), and my NN, Lilith + Jupiter Square his Sun/Moon Midpoint. His Uranus is conjunct my Sun/Moon Midpoint, and his Asc, NN, Juno are opposite my Sun/Moon Midpoint.
His Jupiter + his Saturn + his Vertex square my Sun/Moon Midpoint. Seems like a lot of aspects there!

Whatever it is, we have amazing banter, incredible sex and a lot of fun together. Any other thoughts welcome!

i have been obsessing over synastry for so long that now whenever i meet someone new i ask them to NOT give me their birth details for a while.

but my child’s father! we lived together for 5 years, then i left him, and but we’re still very loyal to each other. he’s family. only that i don’t want to live and/or sleep with him since june 2010 (it was super-abrupt, a one-day decision)

    – his sun is on my Sag SN (exact on true node, and 2 degrees away from mean node)
    – his aries moon is squaring my cancer sun (exact) (and boy this was uncomfortable! i tolerate him so much better now that i don’t need to live with this aries moooooooooon)
    – his venus in cap (1 degree) is on my sag neptune (29smth degrees) (and so sextile my libra pluto (29smth degrees)
    – our nodes are squaring each other (orb 2 degrees)
    – his taurus chiron conjunct my Dsc+Ceres (when he was diagnosed with cancer i was the one taking care of him more so than his other relatives) (and he’s good now)
    – his virgo mars is squaring my mutable nodes (exact) (that would be like his aries moon squaring my sun i’m guessing)
    – our cancer junos are conjunct by 2 degrees (he’s some years older than me) (our jupiters are trining each other)
    – his pluto is squaring my mercury by 1 degree
    – there’s some saturn action as well: mine is sextiling his (and mine) jupiter, AND opposing his chiron, AND quincunxing his moon,
and his saturn is squaring my neptune.

Now that’s exhausting even to write down. He is most certainly my relative and a co-parent, but he is not my man.

Funny, I left my children’s father suddenly after 5 years living together in the start of 2010 as well

This is a great hack! I’m thrilled to discover my

NN in Taurus ON Taurus DC

SN in Scorp ON Scorp AC

and MC in Kataka on my Venus

We both have Neptune in Capricorn at the same degree, but in different houses, so I’m not sure if that counts.

    awwww 🙂

Great shorthand hack! When I look at romantic synastry charts, I note whether the aspects between the two people are equal. If not equal, I try to follow up to whether or not the person with the majority of aspects “cared more” than the other person. Has anyone noted a pattern like that?

    • Reply Emma October 12, 2015 at 1:24 am

      Don’t aspects go both ways?

  • Reply Emma October 12, 2015 at 12:04 am

I feel like I need a protractor! The whole Sextile, Quntile, Semi-sextile, semi-square, Square etc angles thing. I’m really good at maths, but for some reason I feel like I’m confusing myself. So please correct me because I’m sure I’ve detailed some of them quite wrong.

However – this has been a very interesting exercise. Heaps of aspects. Seriously heaps.

His 6 Leo Saturn conjunct my 6 Leo Hekate exact
His 6 Leo Saturn opposite my 5 Aqua Sun
His 9 Leo Sun opposite my 5 Aqua Sun
His 9 Leo Sun opposite my 9 Aqua Merc

My 26 Virgo Saturn conjunct his 25 Virgo Juno
Our Saturns are a sign + 20 degree apart. Mine Virgo 26, His Leo 6.

My Node 29 Leo Quintile ? His Scorp Node 7 scorp
My 29 Leo node conjunct his 25 Leo mercury
His 7 Taurus SNode conjunct my 9 Taurus Chiron

We spoke 2 days before the Uranus square Pluto action in Dec 2014 and met 3 days after it’s 12degree zap.

My 8 Virgo Jupiter & His 25 Virgo Juno in same sign
My 8 Virgo Jupiter conjunct his 6 Virgo Urania
His 27 Taurus Jupiter Sextile my 18 Cancer Juno

My 0 Taurus Chariklo conjunct his 1 Taurus Chiron

His 18 Libra Moon conjunct my 21 Libra Pluto
My 21 Libra Pluto Sextile his 21 Leo Venus
His 9 Libra Pluto Quincunx my 12 Pisces Venus

My 2 Aries Eros trine his 5 Leo Psyche (is this right – a trine?)

My 21 Sag Neptune Same sign as his 11 Sag Neptune
His 11 Sag Neptune square my 12 Pisces Venus
My 21 Sag Neptune trine (is this a trine?) His 21 Leo Venus

Not a lot regarding angles –
My 9 Aqua Merc – His 4 Libra AC
His 25 Leo Merc – My 27 Cap AC
His 21 Leo Venus – My 16 Libra MC

His 15 Virgo Marz conjunct my 14 Virgo Marz

His 17 Scorp Pando conjunct my 19 Scorp Lust
His 2 Pisces Lust conjunct my 1 Pisces Diana

I don’t know what any of it actually means – but it seems like a lot of pings to me.

    • Reply Sue October 12, 2015 at 2:14 pm

A protractor… 🙂 I haven’t thought about one of those for years and… I feel like I need one to read all of your pings! You made me chuckle.

Interesting you talk of the zap hook up as with my partner similar deal in as much as it was an evolving thing but it was in play loosely from the beginning of it all and progressed/culminated a bit more with each of square sort of taking us to a new level each time..

      • Reply Emma October 12, 2015 at 3:57 pm

        Mystic Branded Protractors! 😉 Stat!

I honestly hadn’t even thought about the Zaps until I went through the list of indicators. Looking back, the whole zap scenario was a massive deal in my life – very much about the way I saw myself and what I was dealing with at the time (caring for my father 7 months until he died). It was revolutionary in unconventional ways for me.

Before Leo man and I met – there were a few strange ‘esoteric’ events for myself and even the way we met was probably a bit Uranian.

I love how astrology allows us to view restrospectively through new glass-filters.
Nice to know there’s another zapified coupling out there 🙂

        • Reply Sue October 13, 2015 at 4:32 pm

          Yes.. I’ll buy one!

It was huge for me too, left a bunch of structures behind (work, houses, cities etc) to now be working through some complex historical stuff with the fam but will be moving again next year.

I’ve been mostly transient.. think the ZZ got me out of a prematurely ‘settled’ rut that was presenting an illusion of a perfect world. Now it’s all unpredictable from one day to the next and Uranian and I’m actually finding my feet and enjoying so yeah.

I’ve got some close folk in situ’s like your recent one. It’s a pretty tough road that one, no matter time to prep, time to talk, time to heal it just doesn’t change the Qi drain and the way one’s stuff mostly gets suspended indefinitely until the event has wrapped up and prep is also an illusion of prep often in these circumstances.

I agree! Nice to know there’s another zapified coupling and all the best to you both x

I recently started seeing this guy and I’m really too inexperienced to know, but I think something is going on in our synastry, although I don’t have his birth-time.

Our Saturn stuff is intense: my Saturn is square his Sun, Saturn, Neptune, NN, SN, Chiron, and trines his Venus. His Saturn squares my Pluto and PoF, and trines my Mercury, Venus, Chiron and AC.

We have no conjunctions with the NNs, (lots to the SNs) though a few trines and sextiles to them. However our meeting time Sun and Eros conjunct my NN, and my Mercury and Venus conjunct our m.t. NN. Our m.t. Ceres conjuncts his NN.

My Chariklo is inconjunct his Chiron.

My Eros is opposite his Psyche, and my Psyche is semi-sextile his Eros.

My Neptune sextiles his Venus and my Moon trines his Venus.

As for inner planets and angles, I don’t have his AC but his Mars is conjunct my AC and his NN trines my AC. (If he’s a Cancer rising like I suspect though his AC may conjunct my NN.)

Also, his Sappho is conjunct my Moon by 2°, his Bast is conjunct my SN by 1°, his Lucretia conjuncts my Neptune and our Junos are conjunct.

There’s a whole lot more in there, like our suns trine each other’s Venuses, his Eros is on my Jupiter and his Sappho and Vesta are on my Moon, but that’s not in the lesson.. Anyway does all of this mean anything if there are no NN conjunctions happening?

    • Reply Emma October 12, 2015 at 3:21 pm

It’s just fun right? I wouldn’t worry too much about the lack of NN conjunctions.

  • Reply inanna October 12, 2015 at 7:27 pm

I don’t actually have an exact birth time for my BF, just an approximate guess of very early morning…so this is based on the chart I have…

    His Saturn conjunct my SN
    His Chiron opposite my Saturn
    My Saturn conjunct his Mars
    My Psyche opposite his Eros

His Pisces Sun exact on my Midheaven, in a triple conjunction with his moon and mercury. These three planets directly oppose my Virgo stellium (moon, mars, venus). Especially direct moon-moon opposition.

Also, my mercury conjunct his Pluto; our Neptunes conjunct (it is a slow-moving planet); his Jupiter conjunct my descendant; my Chiron conjunct his descendant; my Eros conjunct his Midheaven.

Even though the angles I have for him probably aren’t exact, there is quite enough going on just with the Saturn/Nodes/Chiron stuff and our opposing stellium.

I’ve wondered about this because I love him and we’ve been talking about getting married, but I know that these oppositions may not be classic love signs (?). Not that it would stop this Libra from saying yes, haha. We have an opposites attract kind of relationship: very much majoring in merging the Virgo-Pisces duality. Any thoughts on whether or not this seems like good romantic synastry?

OK, trying this with my ex husband, since not remotely LZing that relationship and am too hesitant to try it out with current crushes (also don’t know their birth times).

    1. Saturn- our saturns are square, my Sat/Mars is conjunct his Uranus/Urania
    2. My Urania is conjunct his NN, his Neptune is conjunct my SN (soul link for me for sure, but delusional and not healthy)
    3. Didn’t meet during an eclipse
    4. His Jupiter is on my moon (and conjunct his Lilith), and 7 degrees from my Juno. No aspects between my Juno and his.
    5. No Chariklo/Chiron synnergy
    6. Would have to check
    7. Nope
    8. His Neptune conjunct my Uranus/SN, as mentioned above.
    9. His Pluto is on my AC, Mercury on my IC; my Sun is on his MC.

I definitely see a lot of conjunctions in this, and it’s actually weird to look at his chart, since I never had before. So conjunctions and aspects to indicate that there are strong bonds between us, but also not so many positive soul mate indicators.

  • Reply cousinribby October 13, 2015 at 8:01 am

Ok so about 10 hours deep into a synastry binge now..

What about a composite grand trine with Moon, Regulus and Chiron, when Chiron is also conjunct Neptune and Juno?

Are grand trines karmic signs or more just ..showing the vibe between people?

  • Reply - October 13, 2015 at 9:49 am

I guess I’ll try this out with my husband too..
    (1) Saturn conjunct his Jupiter, square his Mars, his square my Rising/Mercury, opposite Jupiter, sextile my Sun
    (2) Mars conjunct South Node, our Nodes are in trine
    (3) Not an eclipse when meeting, there was a Solar Eclipse on top of his Moon when I realized that I wanted to marry him
    (4) Juno and Jupiter sextile
    (5) Not Chiron – Chiralko
    (6) Not a Pluto – Venus transit
    (7) Eros conjunct Psyche
    (8) Neptune square Sun, sextile Moon on one side, then Neptune square Moon, sextile Sun on the other. There’s Venus-Neptune too.
    (9) His Sun conjunct my IC, my Jupiter conjunct his Asc, my Asc/his MC, my Mercury conjunct his IC

The way he gets to me is unlike anyone else, ever. And I’ve never been able to be so close to someone, from the beginning he was like family. But we have our differences of opinion, for sure! Breathing room is the motto. He showed me by being who he is, what I needed to commit to someone. Before that I was seriously stumbling in the dark.

Could an engineer wave a magic wand over the board so we could type astro glyphs instead of typing all the words in full? They’re quicker & look handsome.

I got a birth time and got happy.

Saturn conj his AC in Scorp
    Saturn sext his Psyche
Saturn trine my Mars & Venus
Saturn conj my Jupiter, opp his Moon
Saturn conj my Uranus, opp his Moon
He’s coming up to his Saturn Return

His Sun conj my Pluto. Pluto is his chart ruler.
    His Pluto conj my Saturn
I’m having a Pluto transit, conj my IC.

    His Psyche conj my Moon

Both Eros in Aquarius. Not touching. No worries.

    My Neptune sextile his Sun
    His Neptune sextile my Sun
    His Neptune Trine my Moon
His Neptune Sq my Venus and Mars
    His Neptune sextile my Saturn
    His Neptune conjunct my Neptune
    His Neptune sextile my Pluto

    Too much Neptune?

What’s interesting to me is the house cross overs.
He puts his Sun in my First House, but his Sun comes from his 12th House, so I expect he’s not used to his sun being reacted to so intensely. His whole 12th house aligns with my First, and I can see all his emotion very clearly. But he has Saturn opposition Moon, so I expect not many people can.

    Composite Chart.
    Libra AC.
Sun 1 deg Cap, conjunct Mercury and Neptune.
Venus conj Jupiter on the IC
    Mars just into the Fifth.
    But I’m going ordinary synastry.

Just finding this and am blown away
    1) my Saturn conjunct his moon Venus conjunction. His Saturn conjuncts my north node
    2) again, his Saturn conjuncts my north node and my junk conjuncts his north node with 3 degree orb, which I give for dwarf planets
    3) lunar eclipse at 22 Virgo at meeting that far conjuncts his 1 libra ascendant and opposes 20 degree mars conjunct 27 degree Pisces sun. 22 Virgo conjuncts my 24 degree Virgo part of fortune and 26 degree Lilith and 27 degree Pluto anc opposes 20 degree valentine asteroid. Solar eclipse at 7 Pisces conjunct
His 15 Pisces Chiron and opposes his 7 degree Uranus and 12 degree Pluto. Solar eclipse exactly conjuncts my prenatal solar eclipse at 7 Pisces. Lunar eclipse at 22 Virgo exactly conjuncts composite first house Karma asteroid at 22 Virgo and composite Uranus at 23 Virgo and composite Pluto at 19 Virgo and Composite Juno 18 Virgo. Solar eclipse of 7 Pisces conjuncts 10 Pisces Composite descendant and 10 Pisces

    4) His Juno at 3 Sag conjuncts my Jupiter at 4 sag
    5) my Chiron conjuncts his vertex and Atropos asteroid exactly (inevitable asteroid of fate), his Chiron conjuncts my Valentine asteroid 1 degree orb. His Charklo conjuncts my north node with 2 degree orb and my Charklo conjuncts his Sun with 1 degree orb.
In Composite, Chiron in 7th at 28 Pisces and Charklo at 10 Pisces conjunct composite descendant
    6) Pluto was in a 2 degree sextile to Venus the day we met trining my natal Venus and Pluto was exactly conjunct his Juno that day as transiting Juno conjuncts his ascendant
    7) my psyche conjuncts his mc exactly, my Eros conjuncts his moon exact. His psyche conjuncts my mars vesta conjunction exactly on mars. His Eros conjuncts my mercury with 3 degree orb. Composite chart has wide conjunct of 13 degree psyche conjunct 14 degree mercury conjunct 15 degree Saturn conjunct 20 degree sun conjunct 23 degree Venus conjunct 27 degree north node conjunct 29 degree Eros all in Aries stellium in 8th
    8) his Neptune opposes my Saturn (past life indicator) and mine conjuncts his karma asteroid and far conjunct to his Juno. Composite Neptune opposes moon with Alex t square of mars intersecting. Hard aspect though we both have natal moon opposite Neptune
    9) His sun out of sign conjuncts my Venus with 7 degree orb. My Venus also conjuncts his descendant and vertex and mercury. My sun conjuncts his Venus moon conjunction. My mercury conjuncts his Jupiter exact. His mercury conjuncts my Venus by 3 degrees. His mars is in a far stellium conjunction to my Venus connected by his sun and mercury conjunctions. His mars also sextiles both my mars and Saturn.

Sort of crazy off the charts…but we met when my progressed Venus came to my natal sun, which indicates the love of your life, so I’m not entirely too shocked, but this is cool.

Hehe, I just found this post because I realized me and my best friend have intense Saturn- sun conjunction: my Saturn is 0.0 Aquarius and her sun is 0 Aquarius. Makes so much sense because as you say, Saturn is the Time Lord, and we were childhood friends, lost years of contact, and then remet the first day of college – and inseparable all those foin r years. The most tumultuous relationship I’ve ever had with anyone, haha!

And my boyfriend’s Moon is Conjunct my north node, mid heaven, Neptune and Uranus. So that also makes sense.

So, I’m curious what is more important for Soulmate/Twin Flame indicators – synastry or composite? I had an asteroid astrologer check for Twin Flame between me and a woman I met who I was inexplicably drawn to. According to him, we are more than 90% chance of being Twin Flames. That if we aren’t, then it’s the closest either of us will get in this lifetime. (according to him)

Our synastry chart was pretty awesom.
My Venus conjunct her Asc, Uranus, and Neptune
    My Mars conj. her Moon
    My Mars conj. her IC
    Her Mars/Venus sextile my Moon
    Her Mars/Venus square my Pluto
Her named asteroid (my chart) is conj. my Dsc.
My named asteroid (her chart) is conj. my Sun/Jupiter
    My Union conj. her Vertex
    Our Destinns were conj.
    My Osiris square her Isis

    In composite, we had
    Juno/Jupiter conj. exact (12th house)
Osiris/Isis conj. and conj. the Super Galactic Center
    Leo Moon in 7th house
Pluto trines both AMOR and EROS
Pluto also makes a 72 degrees rare aspect called quintile with Venus

I can only hope that her and I find our way back to each other. The attraction is there, and I don’t mean just physical.

    • Reply Astro Hacks October 26, 2017 at 9:54 am

      Hi Arna,
Synastry is where you would look to see how you and the other person connect. What’s activated? What’s waking up? The composite chart is a chart of the relationships, not how you energetically effect each other, but how the relationship, as an entity, is in the world.

Hi, I’d love for some help on interpreting my synastry chart. Think things look pretty good but I can’t really tell…. Here’s the chart. I blocked out our names, but my data is in blue, his is in red.

    Hi Kate,

To really get a feel of the synastry, start with the basics.

Because you were born within a year or s0 of each other, the outer planets are close to the same. That’s going to active both your charts in the same way. Familiar. But then Saturn in different signs but only 12 degrees apart, almost 30 degrees apart. You do want to check all Saturn aspects, of course, but to get a feel for the charts, start with the personal planets and look at them in pairs. Your sun in Leo and their sun in Taurus. Your Moon in Taurus (on their sun) and their Moon in Aquarius (opposite your sun by sign, but out of orb.) How to you both approach goals and obstacles? Expression emotions. Check the Mercury placements for how you communicate most naturally. Go through all the planets this way, thinking of the nature of the elements, and modalities. Then look at what planets are conjunct and in opposition, square, sextile and trine. By then, you have a strong grounding of the synastry, and you can zero in on these ‘soul mate’ indicators.

The most important thing for a synastry is contacts, no matter what they are. That’s what stimulates, heats things up.

Hope that helps you get started!
